Mannnn old JBP lyric breakdowns were hilarious
Sicko Mode breakdown forever a classic lmao
Do people really want to hear Drake rap about his actual day-to-day though? Betting millions on stake? Playing basketball in his personal stadium? Facetiming his kid? Meal planning with a nutritionist?
The fantasy is just more fun and he knows it
Sounds like a mid life crisis
Drake cooked 21 the same way Durk cooked Le Baby.
Drake should have cooked up with Durkioooooo
I agree with the previous comments, we let Drake get away with some bullshit. Mans is from the suburbs of Toronto and out of nowhere is street certified lol.
It's the other way around
People let everyone else get away with the most ridiculous claims in rap but when it comes to Drake they turn into nerds and accepts a quotation and a source for every line to make sure that its based on real life
The double standard is hilarious and only used with Drake.
this nigga Joe hilarious when he stops the track and breaks down each bar in a song lol they needa do more of that
but i guess they'd need more bars and drake don't drop every week
The music breakdowns were one of my favorite parts about the pod, but it seems like they don't really even listen to music to talk bout it

I know Ish doesn't. It's like he stopped listening to music after 2002.

The Listening was released in 2003. One year after he stopped following music.

Lol huh? Are you from Toronto? He’s by no means from the hood, but forest hill is the inner city, my guy. And the way Toronto is laid out they put public housing and low income housing to balance out every neighborhood.. point is you’ll quickly make a diverse group of friends because of this. where Pressa and them are from is way closer to where drakes from then you would think. And I can tell you with certainty drake was s*** on growing up in forest hill. If you’re renting the floor of a house .. it’s apparent to the kids in that neighbourhood.. who are all living in homes their parents own. socially, it’s like you’re at the bottom of the heap of a nice pile.. still not the greatest social environment.

Because he came out as a dweeb and had a decade of openly admitting he wasn’t tough and now he’s talking about leaving Niggas shirts damp at 34 lol. He’d have a line about chubbs or Baka or anonymous niggas but he talking about doing it himself cuz he’s next to savage lol
That’s different from someone who always has been known to have proximity to those type of activities like baby yb Kodak Boosie and any other rapper who you’re talking about that frequently has bars about killing Niggas lol.
The uzi/Carti/Yachty age and under color dreads and distorted 808 SoundCloud etc crowd gets away with it but they’re not really comparable to drake in terms of their actual raps being taken seriously lol

Jay Z was rapping about selling crack around 2009, and still references it to this day. Have you written any thinkpieces about that?
Pusha T still tells hyperbolic tales about moving weight, Rick Ross too. It wasn't a problem then, was it?

This is such a wet wipe rant. If you’re ok with weed sellers talking like they are Pablo Escobar, rappers who grew up in the suburbs of Atlanta talking like they are cold blooded killers when they didn’t really have that life at all then Drakes mob boss bars shouldn’t have you pissing down your legs.

You’re literally using rappers that marketed themselves (and for what we know was close enough to it) as having proximity to people in that life
Which again is completely different from how Drake marketed himself lol

Drake is close with people who allegedly run trafficking rings. Every single person on KTT knows/is close to someone that has sold d****.
Just say you don't like Drake and keep it moving.

Once again everyone you’re talking about marketed themselves that way from the beginning lol
Drake made his entire brand revolve around not being street and s*** like Wayne telling him to “keep smiling and not get tattoos” lmao am I not allowed to say it’s just…odd to wake up at 35 and pretend you’re Carti? I liked Jumbotron and Most of the album but i shouldn’t even have to say that to be able to make a criticism or observation ovo lieutenant ass nigga 😂

Oh brother.
He knows niggas who s***traffic b****es so he can rap about shooting Niggas in the head is the dweebiest thing I read on here in a minute lol
I actually liked the album lol
Honestly that would be more interesting than him cosplaying as an Opium/YSL/Slaughter Gang member
Not to mention that type of content is why the world fell in love with Drake to begin with. Raps about flexing in his relatives cars and the intricacies of trying to make it as a former child star rapper.
when he’s 50 and washed u’ll get that album
Oh brother.

My guy, all rappers talk about catching bodies.
Its honestly not difficult to pull a trigger; you don't need any sort of street cred or moral fiber or clout to kill someone.
I don't understand why you think this is an issue. I also don't understand why you are holding Drake to standards that you don't hold any other rappers.
90 percent of them niggas is real life dweebs and lowlifes.

Lmao all I said was it was weird/odd
Niggas wouldn’t let Kyle or Childish Gambino come out at 35 popping outta nowhere talking about leaving niggas shirts soaked lol
Just surreal he’s so blatantly trying to fit in after he created an empire proudly being the soft dork who was the underdog because of it. Now he just kinda looks like he’s trying to fit in with people a decade younger than him
Even more surreal he does that within a few days of the Rap A Lot steppers he cosplaying as took one of his close peers
Album was still cool though
