Was there anything besides the decision on homelessness and Chevron?

People keep arguing it's beneficial to jail homeless people but it's NOT AND THATS A VERY HARMFUL TAKE. Jailing homeless people dooms them to a life of poverty with no upsides since they'll have trouble finding work with a record

an unelected panel of bought-off judges, picked off a list assembled by rw political orgs by politicians that are also bought off, and a presidential seat that's immune from legal consequence

    what could go wrong?

I can’t tell if this decision is as horrifying as it seems or if people are misunderstanding it and it’s spreading like wild fire.

I mean, the dissent written by one of the justices themselves seems to make this out to be nightmarish as hell.

Dems are idiots, repubs had this s*** mapped and planned out for nearly 70 years to get the court on their side. what were they doing the whole time. Dont even talk about trump winning, because the judges they specifically picked were hand made from the ground up like in a lab or something. Its over

Repub voters understand a win is a win no matter who the candidate is in the Presidency and in the Senate, because it means generational control of the court. Dem voters have too much ego to be logical in this respect

Also RGB was a piece of s*** with too much ego

Also, if Biden stays in, he’s a piece of s*** with too much ego

Lord knows Alito and Thomas will haul ass out of there next year if Trump wins, because they use logic

    this is crazy

The queen AOC bringing articles of impeachment for some of the SCOTUS justices

I mean it's likely a nothing burger cause these motherfuckers probably got themselves cemented in, but she's the first one to have brought this gesture and I'm wondering why no one had thought of it sooner.

Like I know for a fact they need to get Alito and Thomas out of there. That shouldn't even be a debate.

I mean, what grounds can they be impeached other than “I don’t like their views”? It would set a horrible precedent

You don’t like it, you have one single option to change it.

They're very biased towards Republican policies. Not to mention at least half of them are basically being bribed.

They're supposed to be impartial and they're quite blatantly not lol.

The bribery stuff I would definitely say is ground if you can prove that it’s a quid pro quo situation, but I don’t believe there’s any specific laws against what has come out so far — correct me if I’m wrong, but from what I’ve read it’s more of like “in bad taste” to not disclose type of stuff, but again no laws against it.

As for the part about bias — again, that’s an extremely slippery slope. Every judge is going to come at a case with their own inherent bias. They will all believe (as I would bet the conservative justices do as well) that they are just interpreting the constitution, but they have different interpretations based on their bias. Impeaching them for their views is just as dangerous as that horrible decision they made today.

Hence why I said if you want to fix the court there is one recourse — elect politicians that will nominate and confirm justices that have views that match with your preferences.

It’s very bad but the Chevron decision was worse. It’s all of them in a row that’s batshit

What??? You realize statistically like 40% of homeless people have jobs??

Not to mention how horrible the conditions are in the American penal system. Lots of older homeless people won't survive.

I wish you could know how truly awful it is to be homeless
