Man this whole time I thought Atavista was that “as we staaaaand” gospel sounding track
It was
I've seen comments on the Reddit thread saying 1238 is the song that got butchered most, I simply don't see it
Ikr? I feel like there’s so much more detail in the production and the background vocals. 21 does sound like ass on it tho
yea sweet thang replay value went up tremendously when you take out the minute of heavy breathing i’ll accept that one
Exactly! Also I like that the ending fades out properly rather than super early and abrupt just to hear the breathing interlude

Enjoying this a lot. Think some of the 3.15.20 mixes were punchier though. Also wish he would kept the synths on the "I'm hoping, praying we are together" part of Human Sacrifice.
Some of the 3.15 mixes had the drums punch upward into the music, almost like a bottom up approach (which I think works better for the more electronic songs)
Atavista mix is more melody heavy and top down mixing if that makes sense
Man this whole time I thought Atavista was that “as we staaaaand” gospel sounding track
It was both tracks with a beat switch
We lost
He should put the OG album back up and I like the new version
it’s not like it was only up for a few months it’s been there since the start of the decade and I just don’t think it’s very fair to longtime fans
Weeknd didn’t take down Trilogy after the OG tapes got uploaded even though he wanted to cause he knew people were attached to them
bro y’all are not gonna gaslight me lol
that song was one of the very first ones i experienced blasted out of my ass on LSD, it was on 3.15 the original version dude
Warlords is a song with kid cudi lol
The one where the entire hook is “warlords, warlords”

yeah it was a mix up, my bad
bro ruined the mix on half of the songs too

Acoustic songs sound deeper and more clear with the acoustic mixing
Is my take

yeah Time in particular i miss the lo-fi quality it had, s*** sounds too polished
Vibrate and Beautiful bringing me back to the OG stream rips where we thought the album intro was Shock/Warlords
when people thought it was SZA on Vibrate and not Ariana on Time
Y’all trippin the switch for nudy is so good makes the song actually interesting (not that I didn’t like it before)
And y’all really didn’t listen to that song, realize what it’s about, why he got him on the song, etc. and y’all really didn’t listen to nudy’s verse because it keeps getting better as it goes on in runtime

Feel exact opposite
Most of the mix changes there sound good but make it more obvious how long the gambino verse is
21 verse is better. Old version was AI separated & bpm shifted from a different collab

The main melody thing is so repetitive but bc the drums punch through so hard it takes you out of it
It’s so front and center here it’s hard to ignore how it doesn’t change for 5ish minutes

I wonder how Jai feels about that
Is this worth a listen? I never to listened to it when the track titles were just a bunch of numbers
"To Be Haunted" and "Sweet Thang" got ruined the most.
And a lot of the songs don't flow into each anymore it's annoying
