TheoryDrake was the biggest artist on the song, but Two Chainz and Kendrick were both big by this point. GKMC has just logged the second biggest first week Hip Hop sales of the year with an album that was being claimed as an instant classic and had a hit single in the top 20. Two Chainz had the most talked about guest verse of the year on Mercy and had certified himself as a hit maker with I’m Different, No Lie, and Birthday Song.
To me artists that really got the Drake stimulus would be ASAP, ILoveMakonnen, PND, The Weeknd, etc. He’s definitely put a lot of artists on. I just don’t think the logic of “gave them their highest charting song at the time” is really a good metric.

When F***in Problems peaked, Kendrick only had 4 entries on billboard. F***in Problems, Don't Kill My Vibe, Swimming Pools, Poetic Justice.
Drake is on 2/4 of those songs. He put that nigga on, not to even mention Drake put Kendrick on Take Care in November 2011 a whole year+ before this and took that nigga on the biggest hip hop tour of the year in 2012 w/ Club ParadiseSame thing for Asap Rocky. Only 4 entries, including Problems, by the time Problems peaked. Rocky only has 10 total entries on billboard to this day. And Rocky was also on club paradise tour
2 Chainz was a little different, bc Kanye putting him on Mercy was his biggest song of 2012 peaking at #13, but F***in Problems in 2013 peaked at #8 so it was still 2 Chainz biggest song to date at that point. Drake also was on No Lie in 2012 with 2 Chainz, peaking at #24. And again, drake put 2 Chainz on the club paradise tour.
There is no argument to be made here that drake did not severely help these artists during this time period in their careers.

Kendrick and Chainz career would have been virtually unchanged if they weren’t on F***in Problems. It helped Rocky, but Kendrick and Two Chainz were already taking off before it peaked. BOATS and GKMC had already gone gold before FP peaked.
Again, by the same logic, Quavo’s stimulus is powerful. He put on or severely helped (in the same way Drake did Kendrick or Two Chainz) Post Malone, Travis Scott, Chance the Rapper, and Frank Ocean. I think we can agree that these guys would have all been huge (or were already huge) without a Quavo verse, but it’s technically accurate.
