where was yall niggas at in the 2000s tho?

what was the mecca of hip hop doing to combat the "evil bad dumb south" tho?

don't tell me one man from Queens divided the entire region that much

Back when ny niggas was calling southern rappers lame but then…

from golden era ny pretentiously icing out every other hub to chicago's drill tho, feel like u cud make the case everyone whos taken the seat at the table has made a 'very negative impact'

    Thank you lmfao.

It's easy to blame the south (and I do admit as I do constantly yeah, we did a bad influence on s***) but I think what did a negative impact was EVERYBODY else having a goddamn identity crisis at the same time.

Where the f*** was the west coast at after 2001 (the album) before The Game?

Why aint any New Yorkers pull a KRS-One to MIMS when he was jocking the south or tell Jadakiss to stfu when he said "Go southpaw?" (I remember FILNOBEP, a duo of niggas from New Orleans that also had anti-sentiments about the south lol made a video making fun of Jada for that)

The truth is they had no Shawty Redd Lex Drumma Boy etc to bring their sound into the future so they settled for copying the South

Ron Browz and Harry Fraud phone was cold as hell during this time lol

I also think an NY rapper should have made their bid to get into that post Graduation pre blog era pocket of rap

But you did have niggas like rockwilder that was right there primed for the 2000s.

New York let 2 niggas from queens (as one a rapper, and one a dj) basically ruin their stronghold on the game.

How is this being disputed? Everything wrong with rap of the last however many years and especially rn is directly from s*** that the South - specifically Atlanta - has pioneered and brought into the game

Only reason to disagree with such an obvious fact is personal southern bias

interesting…yet with that influence, 8/10 of the last FMVPs were all forwards/big men

maybe he didn’t ruin the game but promoted elements to expand the game? maybe the south didn’t ruin it either, but provided other regions the energy they were missing…

Kinda wack to blame the state of hiphop on its artists when we were all buying and circulating their music and egging them on last decade

  • Most southern niggas down here hate the fundamentals

Ok Jim halpert you’re above every single music listener because you have an iPod and have singularly preserved “real listenership.” Want me to have someone get the balls next?
