Offer a meet and greet? Try to get Rogers to help with these peoples expenses since it’s entirely their fault, give out discounts for merch, release a new song and dedicate it to the fans, there’s plenty of s*** he COULD do

Hell even a livestream of a few songs being performed would be great

"release a new song and dedicate it to the fans"

bruh none of this is Abel's fault. he didn't kill the internet to sabotage his own tour. if anybody should do something its Rogers. And he doesn't own Rogers so HE can't make them do anything

I don’t give a f*** if it’s Abel’s fault or not? It happened to HIS fans at HIS show.

And no s*** that’s why I said “TRY” to get them to help out.

I literally wouldn’t care so much if he wasn’t supposedly heading straight out to film for the Idol after something like this(not confirmed if he is so I could be tripping on that)

    He was supposed to

Y’all it’s probably best to just divert the attention to the Philly show now as that seems like it’ll be the new opening night. I wonder how many tickets have sold since they last said 9,4k were remaining. Hopefully the team can think of some fresh marketing ploys to get the place close to selling out. Let’s hope for some positive news soon anyway!

did you read the previous messages about how hard dealing with stadiums, setting them up, contracts are? Its not that easy where they can just do it the next day

Do you realize that the stage needs like a bunch of days to travel to and get set up in other cities?
Do you think they just pop up everywhere like nothing?
Do you understand how many people and contracts are involved in this process?

There are like 20 buses transporting the whole crew and the ride is like 15 hours plus god knows the time of actually setting it up.
Also these venues are tied to a contract.
Do you think he can just camp out in Rogers like its nothing and then come to the Philly stage as he pleases?

You raise some valid, logistic/technical questions, to which I've no idea how long it takes for sets, semitrucks, buses, nor do I pretetend to know.

I only raise one question. Do you understand how many people took time of their lives to be present in yesterday's concert? With all the expenses, and everything?

If I was Abel I wouldn't worry about bureucracy, and transportation or venue building procedures and times, I got america/canada's biggest companies on payroll, experts who can worry about this stuff. I'd worry for my fans and the performance.

Regarding contracts and schedules. The outage didn't come 12 minutes before the show.

It happened at least, AT LEAST 12 hours before. abel, sal, lipman and that b**** exec who persuaded him in bbtm period could have all been on the phone, postponed the contracts and schedules, at least 24 hours.

I don't know the capacity of the venue, one google result says 20k+, another 50k+.

I'm no musician, but if tens of thousands of my fans traveled from all over the world to come see me, and paid full price of my tickets, I find the most decent human thing to do to negotiate at least 24 hours.

Plus all the vuses, semis, set you mention, many days were invested in building the set. 24 hours was the least they could negotiate. In the meantime they could have also negotiated with those ticketmaster pricks to make one, ONE exception at fheir s***ty policies, and have the ticket printed, or something, anything that doesn't rely on network, as a plan B.

If it was an outage in a small area, a small city of canada it will be s***ty of course, and it would have taken longer, as it ok, 5% of canada has an outage, but 95% don't. But this was a nation wide outage. Of course EVERYBODY was working on getting service back, businesses already were losing thousands from lack of network, rogers and co. they can't afford it to last.

The service was online about 1 hour after the concert was concert.
Yet the set shortly after being cancelled started being taken down.

Why did they start dismantling right away?

Why not announce: " hey everybody, sorry for the inconvenience, to give everybody the time, in two hours we're on!" Let them throw in a bonus. Free merch, free beer, and whatnot. Exclusive memorabilia.

My issue isn't necessarily him going shooting for idol. That'd be 15% of the focus. (Btw, how could you be filming in clear mind? Only if you have water in your veins, no blood. I'd be fuming if I was abel, for not having my voice heard for being powerless to raise my voice for the fans. I wouldn't be in condition to be shooting. But anyways, I digress.)
As I was saying, 15% weighs the part about him going back to shooting. 85% is the fact that he didn't fought enough, and like somebody else said above, all that came out of it was an IG post.

Abel probably has forgotten the struggles of a life 10+ years ago he faced, his fans do not have the same lifestyle as him where they can pause life and his next venue announcement, hop on their chopper and be present in the next date.

There were many things that could have been done better, much better. But they weren't. Now I don't know if it was for Abel's incompetence, or cause he's on a short leash and label execs don't give a flying f*** about his voice to be heard, but between these two options, one is worse than the other. A complete s***show and disgrace.

You might not like hearing criticism for your favourite musician but I tell it like it is.
