im special
They don't want me to pull out anymore of my old posts
thats the hardest post ive read all year
He does this s*** to me with every single project, this is the only artist that I personally feel has a better project with each release. When he dropped MDM I was like yeah he’s not topping this for a while and then he comes back around and absolutely curb stomps it like it wasn’t an incredible EP
wtf listen to the snippet and look at this
at the same time, it’s in sync
wtf I paused 3 times and it was still in sync

Have a feeling that cat is gonna spammed at midnight now
Ima legit cry when I see him on tour bro. This man has literally saved me from depression, gave me immaculate feelings at the worst times of my life, got me hype at the s***tiest parties etc.. I listened to HOB/GTG on shrooms and I’ll never forget it, it felt like I was one with the sound, it didn’t even sound like Abel, just sounded like a f***ing angel lmao
I need clips of him in the studio recording this the same way he has those clips for MDM. Really makes the album experience more intimate

been fiending for that type of thing from him since the mdm one
Cliqua directing this video makes me excited asf!!
Both Too Late and SYT were amazing videos
around 2017/starboy tour when abel was introduced to the safdies bros then went on to connect with OPN and years later we get this insane sci-fi retro synthwave era from abel
as a stan it's amazing to see how his inspiration builds up into a clear vision over time

To me, Abel connecting with OPN is like when MJ connected with Yellow Magic Orchestra
I’m so happy this is going to be more optimistic
And that is the first time ever I’ve said that in regards to his output lol

My friend speaking to me right now about this upcoming and was a little disheartened when I said it was going to be more upbeat, disco inspired
But I said
much like any artist, he’s cautious of retreading the same ground
After the two-hit combo of heartbreak he gave us with MDM & AH I’m happy for him to give us something more optimistic
Just as long as it isn’t as contrived/artificial as parts of Starboy was. But I don’t think he‘ll make that mistake again, he admitted that with Starboy he was just making songs that got spliced into a 18-track playlist essentially masquerading as an album
With After Hours, he returned to his older approach of actually crafting a cohesive experience like he did with the mixtapes & Kiss Land, but obviously still keeping the pop sensibilities that he developed during the BBTM/Starboy era to appease the mainstream
With After Hours he hit that perfect synthesis between his grittier, darker sound and the more upbeat pop stuff
He’s more focused than ever, no reason for him not to innovate again with The Dawn
Abels finsta is 👽
He been teasing through his bio
whats his finsta?
