Was listening to We Are The Streets today. I’m torn on Swizz production. On one hand the beats are hard hitting and fit the LOX style well. On the other the instrumentation is laughable and sounds like a 9 year old made the beat on an MPC. Thoughts?

I’m not a huge fan of that Lox album in particular but I do generally like Swizz’ sound on the old Jay, Jadakiss and DMX albums. It’s an acquired taste but I think he has a unique niche

Well said. Money Cash Hoes sounds like trash and greatness at the same time.
Swizz Beatz is definitely on
my Top 10 producers of all
time.
High energy beats
And I actually do enjoy a Swizz Beatz hook or a verse, or whenever he is screaming all over the track, I think it adds a nice touch.
whatever works for the song
ramones songs are literally less than three guitar licks and still some of the best music ever
same idea here
Idk but he kinda invented the Mustard beat

This is his best beat
That's a Dame Grease bite
