I think it's called "consequentialist ethics" but where the consequences aren't measured by severity of impact on the human being but rather based on if the human affected is American or not. I'd go even further and say "how good" of an American he is (God forbid he worked 12 years to assimilate, pay taxes, send his kids to school, obeyed the law but then its found out he isn't eligible anymore to stay "legally" thus has to be detained, separated from his children and probably endure "justified" torture/torture that isn't so bad right... ) idk y'all I'm trynna figure it out as well...
