The store owner was on fight or flight mode and on an adrenaline rush. He chose to fight. All thinking and rationality goes out the window in a situation like that. It’s not like he wanted to stab him that many times the adrenaline just takes over you.

I can’t blame him. I would have done the same.. if someone is jumping over the counter i would feel threatened and if I had a weapon at hand I would use it to protect myself and my property like any man would.

Also if you notice the guy who jumped the counter punched him before he realized he got stabbed which means he was willing to use violence if the store owner resisted the robbery.

Overall f*** them bozos , he’s lucky he’s alive and can take this as a learning experience.

To be fair, the robber didn’t use violence or threaten violence till they were stabbed multiple times by the store owner. The robber went directly for the items so it was a defense of property which the store owner admitted.I also think the last few stabs in the back of the robbers head was excessive. That added with the store owner posting it on Reddit the next day bragging about it like an idiot and also admitting he didn’t think they had a weapon. Now he’s most likely gonna get charged and sued up the ass. Just stupid people all around
