americanakinda weird you're dictating the value of other people's own experiences and saying one way of capturing memories is more or less valid than the next based on some absolutely lame philosophical spiel
just let people record as long as they aint in ur way. If you think they're missing out, then thats your opinion. nobody's experience should be "less valuable" at a place like a concert unless they're harming others
I’m not dictating the value of anyone’s experience, I’m stating something pretty obvious actually: when you try to create a representation of reality, you’re disengaging yourself from the experience you’re supposed to be living. You’re taking a step away from your subjective experience to recreate it through artificial representations. And those representations are artificial because they only give you a vague sense of what’s going on. When you’re watching a live show filmed by someone else, you don’t know what’s the smell, what it feels like to be sweating and moving among all these people, what it feels like to get your ears f***ed up by Travis’ audio terrorism etc.
