Drakes last classic, a great album
Definitely overhated on release, yeah - it has bloat and wasn’t as concise as NWTS was, but this was truly one of the last albums that felt like a huge monocultural moment. Not just for hip-hop, but for popular music in general.
Also, songs like One Dance, Controlla and Hotline Bling etched themselves into pop music canon.
Loved the Toronto changing of seasons concept, as well.
Pretty good album, all in all. Definitely have huge nostalgia goggles for the mid-2010s and this album defined that era, for sure, tho.

But i ammm very much alive in the 6 siiide
classic album, classic rollout, classic release night, classic singles, classic demos
an absolute peak of everything we love to associate with 2016
classic moment, i quote 'real f***ing uninspired. DATS what i think.' 'im not telling you to not have an opinion, its just WRONG.' in my head just about every other day
i think a lot of people had a similar experience with this album, initial disappointment but having it grow on you, and later having a strong fondness for it because of the nostalgia of the drop and the summer when it was released
joe buttons s***ting on drake and views in 2016 would end up changing hip hop journalism forever
