i dont have my record player on me so i bought that thing just so i could play records at least somehow. i got a pair of good headphones and an amp since then. thing works like an absolute charm, although there is a certain 'design flaw' in it that is not present in regular record players

I think it's a pretty amazing player considering the form factor. S*** has better speed consistency than the Pro-ject automat I had, and that was a full fledged player

i guess its not really a flaw just how its made. but because it doesnt have a full plate to put a record on it cant play some warped records properly. theyll be catching the farthest part of the player and slow down the playback. i fix it by puttiing a 7 inch underneath thereby elevating the record and it works like a charm

started buying records couple weeks ago, turntable finally showed up after a f*** around with the courier, think i've made an ok start

nah it was prob around $20-25 like most of those

some of the classics are randomly in more recent issues for USA/international. and some are only reissued by sketchier labels which I won't buy. and then tons of others never issued in US or just smaller numbers so the price is crazy. like I couldnt find any Jorge Ben album for a decent price

not sure probably just need to comb through listings maybe for some classic samba artists or a few classic bossa nova like Jobim or Joao Gilberto. would like some rock too but seems harder to find

yeah i have my main speakers set up for turntable. never used headphones with my vinyl though

I could never notice the difference between cranking vinyl on my speakers or cranking a lossless file. Big difference on headphones though.

i will try record player using headphones its just annoying because of the shorter range cord though and i cant walk around the house listening to vinyl

theres only one way to do a sacred vinyl/headphone listen
