during the white era promo days out of total blue for a spotify acoustic set they brought back slave which they hadn’t played since the mala days, good song
!https://youtu.be/tnv2mYpRPgsi will be your weezer slave soon
lame band name though lol
let’s form that cat

this another fav of mine
their bassist is rachel haden, the haden family have an amazing history, their father was an amazing jazz bassist charlie haden who had an important contribution to the jazz scene, one of her sister is now engaged to jack black, she has a third sister they all sing together, rachel herself and some of her sisters being part of the rentals (weezers matt sharp band after he left weezer) and rachel was gonna be a character in songs from the black hole, she’s the one singing on “i just threw out the love of my dreams”
josh from the rhcp was seen rocking a that dog during during a proshot show
karl hints at surprise for january
last thing we know ok human is confirmed by now to come out before van weezer so fans speculating it will be the album dropping
i doubt it especially since rivers stated they had a single ready to go for ok human so it would only make sense that comes out first, so im thinking first lead single for ok human in jan
rick rubin talks a bit about weezer in here

the 7:10 min mark
that’s amazing i didn’t know that bus thing, funny to see the strokes reactions to it too
rick worked on make believe and he’s the reason that got rivers into vipassana, it changed rivers life forever he takes it extremely seriously - practices it two hours a day even since 2003, only skipped one day bc he was in an accident and goes on retreat around february or march every year for like a good month or two, cuts out from everyone and goes deep in transcendental meditation in a special place dedicated for it
yes 3 times including the first performances of blue and pinkerton live in full for the memories shows
historical moment, the guy from hurley came on stage during the hits part and you?
that's crazy
never got the chance unfortunately, doubt that will happen anytime soon too.... What song you loved the most to see performed live ?
Gave Hurley another shot and only liked the first 4 songs and the last one, would have been a good EP. Also tried Pacific Daydream again and still only like the 3 in the middle.

that’s a good take on hurley i can see that
they def should’ve done that
man i wanna re arrange my whole weezer discography like some alt universe s***
that pacific daydream take tho

@Womanpuncher69 @RVI @Unwound @HeyFella you guys would like this
Love That dog
Totally Crushed Out! is a classic

don’t lose hope the tour with gd and fob is still on the table
they plan to do orchestra tour for ok human
mmmm hearing across the sea and only in dreams live was out of body experience
getting the world has turned live was amazing too not bc i love it but bc at that point they hadn’t done it live for like a decade so it was special for them too
it was amazing they also got bethany cosentino from best coast to sing on island in the sun (best coast opened two nights this was when they just had dropped their first album) and played rare b sides i remember they did suzanne and rivers altered the lyrics to the original ones he did for them where he namedrop kurt cobain and all that
but def only indreams bc there’s so little other songs like that in the world
they never done any live albums
there was one random live ep but it’s nothing like essential
they did start selling official bootlegs tho so in a way there’s lot of them now
there’s definitely some definite live performances worth checking out
this is a favorite of me, bootleg recording of a full show from their golden days, set list of a dream for any fan, all blue and pinkerton days plus the b sides, amazing energy and performance, bootleg only surfaced 5yo it was absolutely unheard of before hand, this would def make you give a new take on the two first albums and the bsides, they’re really into it and pat the drummer makes some super dope alternate beats too
!https://youtu.be/lmhouKHxCM4set list with timestamp in videos description
recommend you that @Vagabonds @Womanpuncher69 @RVI @Unwound @VizeGuy @Kaiser
ill share more stuff like that if ya like checking out that kind of stuff
pretty good performance , made getchoo sound way better than I remembered I gotta go back to it, undone sweater song, why bother, no one else and say it aint so were the highlighthts for me, I didn't really vibe with pink triangle felt like it went on for too long maybe cuz I dont really like the track. Also watching this and comparing it to the last live performance which was old ass S***Pistols with 50 something year old Johnny Rotten, shows me how insane Johnny Rotten was with his stage presence always keeping me interested with his crackhead antics @Lawdie compared to Rivers which seems pretty boring tbh.
