when i listen to music what makes it interesting is the ideas and approaches the artist takes, how it actually sounds is sorta secondary to the mental effect of discovering something new and interesting

i notice many ppl are very sensitive to stuff like mixing, i think its interesting because i do get that but if the ideas are great i dont mind bad mixing

what do yall think, is music an idea or is it all about the actual sonic quality?

example is like when u hear a song with a rly good melody or hook etc. but the rest of the song sucks, but u still might bump that s*** just for that one moment that hits crazy. thats an idea
