Your argument is the only way to reduce the effects of climate change is socialism
I am saying socialism wont change individual's choices with the example of driving a car
People dont need socialism to take public transport they need the infrastructure and access

We have enough raw material to make enough batteries to replace all the personal ICE automobiles with electric ones once and that's it. Not even talking about replacing industrial ICE's.

Why would they create access for you if you won’t buy their product as a result

I think there was some shady s*** with the start of the auto industry and the building of roads and highways vs public transportation in the US . I ain’t got time to sift through that bs history though

I don't think there's anything wrong with caring about future inhabitants of the earth + some people want to have kids. Ya maybe we weren't supposed to be here forever does that mean we should continue to speed the process up?

New York City has one of the largest public transportation networks on the planet has for many decades
So do many other capitalist countries, the UK, Japan, Singapore
You dont need socialism for good public transportation
My hometown Denver has expanded its light rail system
Atlanta has built the belt line and investing more into Marta
Congress is working on passing an infrastructure bill rn that will invest in public transportation

Public transport isn’t the only end of this climate change question

And even then, new cities would prioritize creating distance between people and their workplace or other places to facilitate the use of cars and other things that generate them money instead of creating convenience and access through bikes and foot traffic

Yes your right like another user mentioned earlier "three largest polluting industries are energy, transportation and agriculture"
Energy and transportation are being addressed idk about agriculture but socialism doesnt have a great history there does it
