  • i admit it was around 2014-2015 era, post yeezus / pre pablo era

i would dabble with some of the yeezus tracks before school for hype, it was till summer of 2015 when spotify put me on to DIAND while playing PS4
    rest was history

  • Conscious of being a huge fan was probably around 2010

Those early 2010s was the golden era of rap

It was in 2004 when I first heard his voice on the Linkin Park album Collision Course featuring Jay-Z.

  • Got into rap/music in general around 2011/2012…Power was my favorite song

Became a real fan during the Yeezus rollout…just thought everything he did was so cool

@op great post & thread, what’s your top 3 albums? I would be curious to know. And, did you enjoy the Pablo roll out? Were you hyped to experience a Ye roll out in real time?

  • 2008 I became a fan, 808s clicked with me & then I played his bear trilogy after. But 2010 when Power leaked in July is when I really started getting excited, then I downloaded the leak of MBDTF & my Stan mode was activated

  • In 2004 when I bought the college dropout

  • When I heard stronger on the radio

  • late registration sold me and graduation made me a forever stan

been on the yeezy wild ride ever since

in 2008 my dad got me a blue ipod nano and it had amazing from 808s installed on it with some other music he liked but i was too young to know how to deep dive

in 2013 i was at a friends birthday party for a sleepover and one of the guys was watching a stream of snl when he did black skinhead and new slaves, it was at this point i became a casual fan

in 2014 though i went and bought every single album on cd and listened for the first time in chronological order and nothing was the same since, if it wasnt for this man and his fight, the things he introduced me to through his work and collaborators, aesthetics, almost anything i would not be who i am today

  • When I heard homecoming and good morning so pretty much the graduation album, i liked gold digger and jesus walks but i wouldn't say i was a fan or even musically conscious at that point

i started to fall off with Yeezus basically when ye became ye kardashian, by tlop i was outta there, got back in when the donda live stream stuff went down then out again and i wont be coming back

  • CGI Dog

  • Immediately after seeing the music video for All Falls Down in 2004

Became a true stan around Graduation era. I also remember having the Runaway VMA performance on my IPod and playing it to everyone

glad u asked! my top 3 albums usually change with how i’m doing in life. right now i gotta say 808’s #3 / Late Registration #2 / TLOP my all time #1

and brother, TLOP rollout was like a movie 2 me, honestly the first ye drop i was going to witness dropping ever, AND i was new to the OG kanyetothe site. So i was literally watching madness unfold with y’all. Ironically it was the first time ye would pull off his album delay / “working on the album when it’s already out” s*** too lol. but the end result was beautiful and truly a homage to all of his eras while staying in a current state of sound at the time.
