tell me a band thats been able to do this? think this is largest crowd in Rock history and its during the collapse of the Soviet Union.

my other two choices are subjective but Metallica is the epitome of Rock N Roll

    Who over Kinks

    Queen over Sabbath

i got the who over the kinks because of the drummer and bassist. the kinks however are better lyrically, even wittier than the beatles. i like the beatles the most because they also had great experimental songs. same with queen for the 1970s.

Yeah nobody touches the Entwistle/Moon but the Kinks just have the most great songs that are more moving, funny, relatable and interesting than any other band.

I love queen but none they got way too many songs I wanna skip on those albums.
