Idk I'm kind of tired of people comparing the two. Drake is the biggest crossover we have. But it's f***ing daft to pretend he's making music at the same level as a lot of his contemporaries. He raps about Instagram hoes

    Very daft sir 🧐

Kendrick might have had better individual tracks though

Father Time, Worldwide Steppers, United In Grief, Auntie Diaries, Mother I Sober...

    Special moments

You just listed the only good songs on that project

    Honestly, Nevermind is great

Certified Lover Boy lasted longer than Kendrick’s

But Kendricks got that long term effect. Numbers won’t be as high but the impact generational.

Kendrick. This is just my opinion but I'm kind of sick of drake and other old niggas making immature music.

As you grow in life your perpsective and outlook tend to change but it seems it hasn't for him and some others. He is still making she hurt me/tiktok music deep into his career.

Not saying he has to change but i just don't find it interesting anymore

I'm tired of these 40-year-olds rapping about instagram DMs and emojis. They want to be relatable to the youth so bad.

The 5 year wait backfired. Kendrick needs to stop overthinking it and just cook up some quick heat for the streets

That’s the lifestyle he’s on though

I’d rather him rap about what he’s really doing over trying to force some 4:44 type of growth

Plus Drake knows his audience they don’t wanna hear that type of music

If his audience don’t wanna hear that type of music why he make Honestly, Nevermind. His general audience damn sure ain’t wanna hear that either.

Drake gon make a 4:44 when he feel like it just not now and that’s okay

If you don’t think N95, Die Hard, Father Time, Rich Spirit, Count Me Out, Silent Hill, Savior, and Mr. Morale all deliver sonically speaking idk what to tell you. I purposely didn’t name any of the other tracks such as United in Grief or Mother I Sober where the lyrics are the focal point.

Your last sentence just making it seem like he don’t wanna make an album like that JUST cause his audience don’t wanna hear it and that’s not the case.

That nigga gon give y’all whatever he sees as good in his eyes

There’s no right answer tbh, they’re a similar career trajectories at this point but that’s about it, both slightly past their commercial peaks as well

Drakes still enjoying his commercial reign the last few years (although not as high as Post-Scorpion) and he has no sign of slowing down as far as dropping music goes. Someone said in another thread that I always thought but never articulated well was Drake seeming it have a lot more carefree approach in his music post CLB tbh. Even in the way he acts it’s slightly less calculated and professional than he usually is, he seems to just having fun with it all right now

Kendrick obv just came off long hiatus and dropped a great project. Commercially Kendrick was never really touching drake like that outside his peak so this era of him getting outsold isn’t really the norm but he also can’t say where he wants to go. Whether it be keeping to himself altogether or focusing on building pgLang.

If I had to pick one I’d just say drake but not necessarily better he was just more visible.
