Not surprising at all. Hip Hop changes eras every 3-4 years.

It’s a very “here and now” genre of music, specifically mainstream hip hop.

Only a select few rappers maintain or steadily grow over multiple eras. And those artists usually evolved within their sound.

Artists like Baby and Dababy can still have a career and make money( especially overseas), but nowhere near the level of what it was five years ago.
