I don't know when some of you will realize that every single rapper has rapped s*** they didn't write. Doesn't matter if it's a just a line. It has happened at least once in their careers. That doesn't take away from their ability as writers and lyricists.

It's always been dumb to me how rap has always had this need to distinguish itself from every other genre of music and place itself on some sort of ridiculous pedestal when ghostwriters have existed in rap as long as rap itself has existed.

Imagine how dumb it'll be to say someone like Adele, who wrote her first two albums entirely by herself, a fraud because she decided to work with co-writers for her third album or doing the same for someone like Frank Ocean who got his start in the industry as a songwriter and decided to work with co-writers for Endless/Blonde.

The only thing I think should really matter is: can you write entire songs by yourself if and when it comes down to it? If the answer is yes, then you're an established songwriter and no one can ever take it away from you, regardless of how collaborative you choose to make your songwriting process moving forward.
