I sort of get what you’re saying but my enjoyment hasn’t waned too much. AOTL/ Monster/ So Appalled are the ones I dont return to and Power is a little overplayed. Everything else still goes crazy imo.
Power
Runaway
DIAND
Gorgeous
are timeless imo, the album still holds up well other than Monster for me
So Apalled & All of the lights
So Apalled & All of the lights
They're closer on the lower/middle end for me personally, like I'll still listen to them. I'd have them behind tracks like hell of a life and lost in the world
DIAND is still unbelievable, I listened to it the other day and it felt like the first time again
This album is like JAY-Z, not the better album of world, but a solid 9
JAY-Z is not the best ever, but a solid 9
trying too hard to be perfect + he's a nazi now so all enjoyment is gone
this. although American Boy came on shuffle the other day and his verse is still 10/10, reminded me why I liked his stuff in the first place
I think this is my favorite feature verse by him
Yup probably the most overrated album of all time
Maybe if this was 2012.
This album, if anything, gets underrated by contrarians who either put post MBDTF Kanye albums above it or claim "it's not all that" these days.
It's still highly revered overall but it's a lot of contrarians who downplay its quality and impact.
That said, I do wish the GOOD Friday songs were on a deluxe edition of MBDTF. It'd be the icing on the cake.
Matter of fact, GOOD Fridays needs to be uploaded to streaming asap.
whoooooooooooaaaaaaa just another lonely night
nah, can never relate to this sentiment. you tripping hard. another example of niggas overthinking too much online

niggas heard one Drink Champs interview and all of a sudden Kanye career is just graduation, 808s, and Yeezus smdh

It kinda reminds of the current wave of people saying Nas's post Illmatic albums are better than Illmatic.
Like I get it. You can technically make that argument. But niggas like Ish on the Budden podcast be acting like Illmatic isn't all that special and giving revisionist history.
MBDTF and Good Fridays still holds up very well imho. Like we literally have the best mix of Ye's rapping/lyrics and his production skills that are a culmination of his past album's musical influences.
everytime i feel this way i listen to it again and it goes back to number one for me but it’s not something you can listen to front to back everyday
I do think the era where everyone was acting like it was hands down the best rap album of all time and nothing came close was annoying but the album itself is still fantastic
Probably my 3rd fav album by him and its on the same level quality wise as my top 2 tbh
Sucks for you
