I mean yeah, at the time, 2Pac was considered conventional Hip Hop. In 2010, Wayne/Waka etc was considered conventional Hip Hop. Kanye was not conventional Hip Hop and didn't try to be, MBDTF didn't necessarily appeal to the conventional Hip Hop listener at the time, but it still had an audience. Same with Cudi and MOTM2

Did I dead just overplay it or is it overproduced? I feel like it feels too perfect and the way it’s aged kinda makes it feel like it was moreso a landmark for its time than something I genuinely enjoy to play more than like yeezus or 808s, it was the start of Kanye basically being like a fire dj khaled and idk it feels a bit too clean and “grand” to me does anyone else feel dis
