I think it’s sad that someone is facing life in prison for something they did at age 17 in the heat of the moment. I think it’s sad somebody died. I think it’s sad that in what was likely a highly racially charged incident, that we’ll never know exactly what happened and that a young black man had to go up against one of the most racist justice systems in the world to determine his fate.
