If i had to guess
It's probably a combination of the channel not popping off as much as it use to, and real life responsibilities making it not worth the work.
I hope it isn't beef or anything.
Anyway, nothing can last forever. And they had a massively long run for a Hip-Hop focused channel, and are one of the first ones to really do it well. Having even a 7 year run is impressive. But 10-15 Years relevant on youtube is an amazing run. There are tons of hip-hop channels that started in the same era as them that are nonexistent now. Some i probably watched back then and don't even remember.
granddadwooly, spectrum pulse, tabby, luke james not the singer, that one dude who did like 'angry voice' commentary with static backgrounds i forgot the name of
They never adapted. Thats fine because it would've been worse if they started pretending to enjoy Gunna. But their oldhead audience is going to dry up at some point.
I think if they had shifted to streaming more seriously at some point, they could've kept going with a cult fanbase
Damn this thread making me realize that a lot of people ain't up with what else they do in DEHH these days lol
They gotta whole media platform called DeadEndMediaGroup where they got different shows that many of the OG members still contribute to.
Is the Mic Still On is their weekly podcast where they talk about a wide range of topics. Myke, Rod, Kinge, Beezy, and Spike are the main mics.
DeadEndSports as you can well imagine is about sports. Mainly has Kinge, Feefo, Spike, and sometimes Beezy.
DeadEndGaming again self-explanatory it's about gaming. These was more of Beezy's thing and they'd have a couple other dudes apart of it. Not sure what will become of this since Beezy is gonna be taking a break.
Frames Per Second is their main film/television show where they discuss old shows/movies and also review new shows/movies that are out. This one got Myke, Kinge, Rod, and a woman on the show her name is escaping me right now, but this is also a solid show they got on their platform.
All of these are available wherever you get your podcasts. But yeah they're still doing a lot of stuff, even if they say they're "leaving DEHH".
Dead End Sports only worth watching for NFL fans
They do not put any effort into basketball talk
A bit surprised to see B leaving, he is releasing a beat tape & phyiscals next year, but i guess the job offer is more recent than those plans
B was always a solid dude, balancing force, encyclopedia. They bought in Spike Lou & his boy to DeadEnd and at first it seemed like it had potential but AB was talking like an irrational Drake twitter stan during a segment and the whoooole comment section said he was trash/acting like an idiot
They should've kept up those videos they did with the young kids where they were reacting to music they are out of touch from

Spike really ain't much better cause his hip-hop takes can be really f***in terrible and he also stans R Kelly and acts confused about why they don't rock with R Kelly on the pod
Like on last week's Is the Mic Still On episode they were going over their Spotify Wrapped and Apple Music Replays, and Spike had R Kelly in at #7 on his most played artists of the year. They were roasting him for it and he was acting like it wasn't a big deal.
Mind you in the same episode, he was s***ting on Ludacris and even said "I can't understand why anybody would still be listening to Ludacris in 2025".....again, same nigga with R Kelly in his top 10 most played artists of the year
Sad to see the guys leaving. But I'm not shocked, this always seemed like a more passion project for them and they have families and are getting older. I still tune in to a lot of their stuff and still will. Kinda legendary they all stuck together for so long and are only starting to separate now due to job opportunities and life and stuff

Ngl I've never tuned into any of that basically just their album reviews. I have podcasts I love for Games and Sprots already but I am curious what their video game takes are so I will check it out today
I liked em back in the day but I remember the audio quality being god awful recently seems like they just stopped caring
Spike really ain't much better cause his hip-hop takes can be really f***in terrible and he also stans R Kelly and acts confused about why they don't rock with R Kelly on the pod
I hear you, he wasn't over the top about the R Kelly thing though
there's them other type of niggas who wear their R Kelly listening like a badge of honour 'AND I STILL LISTEN TO R KELLY
' them niggas be the worst
Spike an unusual dude, sometimes he comes in clutch in the convos like during the pharrell segment this week, but he also got some weird racist white southern friends & bad classic hip hop opinions, things like when he said pharrell might be autistic/or overdoing about the functional crack users
Never watched a single review in my life, but yall always seemed to like these dudes from back to OG KTT, end of an era I suppose

That's crazy I'm pretty sure they were the ones to break the "To Pimp a Caterpillar" thing and Kendrick shouted them out back then. I don't even remember when I discovered them I just always loved them. They have diverse taste in music too. I always looked to them to see what the older generation thought

They been at this for 15 years but their subscribers have been stuck around 250k for almost 8-9 years, it must be disheartening to not see any growth after all this time, even with the patreon/memberships subs
They've tried a lot of new stuff too, the artist interview & listening session thing, their Vz inspired show they had, a lot of shorts and segments. They still all got other jobs, families & stuff besides this though
Surprised to see TheCompanyMan actually has 386k subs (& he's one guy instead of a whole group who have to split the pie)
They probably should've got someone to help them reassesss their strategy but it's probably too late atp
Left about three years ago.
She just got more involved with her life/work outside of DEHH. Interior design career started taking off and it required her to have to travel domestically and internationally much more.
Aaah thanks! i knew she left a little bit ago. But didn't know what she ended up doing after she left

What does he think of this then

i doubt that, streaming viewers are much younger than youtube viewers
They had a good run. Was my favorite music channel for the longest time. Was always comfy to just watch a couple dudes talking music in a casual setting. The channel lost its charm imo once they upped the production lol bizarre to say but it became way too “clean” if that makes sense.
i was at a jpeg mafia show in 2019 and he was talkin bout deadend after performin a song and was like whats the name of the dude that always say it bump in the whip and i yelled out FEEFO loud af and we all laughed
super small club think it was like 50 people or somethin lool
but yh shout out deadend hiphop
