the influence is there
it only becomes more beloved and relevant with time, people still talk about and its still having songs go up in status such as united in grief and count me out
thers a huge sentiment of it touching people on another level, the other day someone made a rap songs that made u cry thread and after i posted, i noticed i was like the 3rd out of 6 to say mother i sober
it birthed the 2nd highest selling rap tour of all time
won the grammy for best rap album of the year
critically acclaimed
ay man
Its legit been getting a lot more hype recently
Its crazy bc I was really big on it when everyone was hating it but its not aging the best for me. Still a dope ass album but I cant get with the its his best or top 2 talk at all
I don’t disagree but is some of this 4:44 influence too
Also goes back to TPAB
But morale definitely kept that legacy of therapy rap/hotel room music going strong

4:44 influence is moreso longer term like on the older generation space opening up and a type of older album, however all these guys were straight up fans of mr mroale explicitly, clearly drawing direct inspo from its presentation and how it handles mature themes, and even its visuals
4:44 was a mature lyrical self revealing album, one could say that led to opening the door for mr morale, but these artists are clearly very inspired by mr morale specifically
id say 444 maybe helped lead to mr morale but moreso was about opening doors for how hip hop artists can age gracefully and room for the older rapper act

Impossible to rank a GOATs albums
Just enjoy.
might be his most inconsistent work, cus the bad songs are really bad but the good songs are some of his all time best
looking back my only complaints are die hard and even tho i do like the concept of we cry together, that beat should’ve been used for actual bars

How tf can anyone hate die hard smh
Idk man its just kind of boring...
Kendrick really too influential in general it’s actually crazy how hard these dudes are biting him
I didn’t even fully think of it but yeah this is 3 big artists straight up stealing Kendrick’s whole s***
i love die hard now lol
it’s fun and nice but something about it feels sorta empty compared to the other songs it’s surrounded by
Every post beef/Super Bowl reactor who got into Kendrick after these events have Mr Morale top 2
I’ve watched at least 7
And whether they are HipHop heads, new to rap etc they all have Mr Morale top 2 Kendrick.
I telling yall a LOT of rappers love Count Me Out
count me out is a BELOVED song. Actually, to me and my friends and like what ive noticed in my generation, count me out is sort of a legendary beloved beautiful song, beyond kendricks fanbase which has surprised me.
