I have used YT music for the entire year. I haven't felt the need to switch back to other streaming platforms. Mind you, I play music just anywhere that doesn't require hi-def listening. Until I get an actual audio setup at home, I don't think I'll notce the slight quality difference between all three platforms.
YouTube Music is the best value for money because it comes with Premium. Imagine hating yourself so much that you willingly subject yourself to the cancer that is YouTube ads.
until the account you listen to leaks on gets terminated for copyright strikes
youtube music is like the “halfway in” solution to local file integration in that, yes, there are songs that aren’t on streaming services, but no, you don’t actually have any control over those files
Youtube Music is solid
I think Apple Music is king because of the personal itunes library integration.
The more I think about it, the more I realize streaming services don't want you want to have your only personal library of music. They don't want you own anything really anymore. Spotify's "Local Files" are poorly integrated and Tidal doesn't even offer a local files option. THe goal of a streaming service is to keep you streaming. Not sure how Youtube Music's local file integration works but if they do have, then it could be valuable.

why would you need 'local files' on youtube music when basically the search integrates the video platform with the music one?
you can listen on youtube music to leaks that are uploaded on youtube only

i addressed that in the first sentence
plenty of leaks don’t get uploaded to youtube because they get struck down consistently, and if they do make it, they’re sped up/slowed down by 8%
not worth the hassle, just get a service where you can control your own files

that true, for leaks there's the 'untitled' app, very underrated
my homie told me youtube music has better quality in the car than spotify, said the bass is smoother and feels warmer
I been on youtube since 2 years now and now I finally got my homies into the family plan
we paying 2 dollars each for 0 ads on youtube and streaming
Mind you I just play music in the car or on my busted Bose headphones from 2020.

I mean for my local files I have them on a separate app. Most music I listen to is on streaming so YouTube fits that role for me since there's so many mixes and leaks that exist itself on the platform

Yes that's how the majority of Americans listen to the music or on their apple airpods
Using MusicBee instead of any streaming services. >
Getting to be too much work nowadays
Facts, I just use the free version and upload all my music and listen to it offline from my phone.

I have full set ups so the quality issues on YouTube ruins it for me
And my car has a sub I don't need busting from a s***ty upload of some song lol
I also like being able to see friends playlists and multiple other things too
Glad others like YouTube tho

foobar is worse in that regard -- much worse, in fact, lol.

quality issues? compared to apple that has this lossless stuff and tidal I understand, but compared to spotify?

My friend with YouTube music is constantly putting songs with trash quality on aux from it from random ass uploads
I have plenty of CDs and stuff for higher quality, I don't care about steaming loss/flac, I only care about that level for like post rock and certain electronic albums
I already have YouTube premium, but I prefer Spotify for a lot more reasons stemming from accounts and actual people I know and follow. Organization is far better for example. Not to mention the decade+ playlists I curate

where do you reliably get your new music releases from (assuming you're not buying everything)? i miss plus premieres

You just refresh the page when the ad starts and then there’s no ad when the video loads
Apple musics algorythm sucks fat cock !
I love the local files tho so i wont leave
youtube has the best balance of algorithm and not available on streaming music i admit it
