About a week later, how do you feel about the Iceman trilogy so far

  • Iceman is amazing

    Habibti grew on me and has some great tracks

    Maid of honour is still my least favorite but it grew on me and it’s a cool listen

  • Iceman still my most played cause I love rap, R&b one is okay, but the dance one is incredible honestly might be the best technically.

    MOH- 7/14 (road trips, amazing shape, BBW, new bestie, Q&A, stuck, goose and the juice)

    After sitting with them for a week..

    Iceman 7/10: I think it's pretty good overall. I've never had an album have lines that give me the stank face in both good ways and bad ways like this one. Some really good bars and some really terrible bars on this one. I really wish he would stay in pockets longer on some songs - I hate the switch on National Treasure. I do hope he moves on after this though. The subject matter feels tardy and effects the replay value on it a bit for me.

    MOH 6/10: Not many strong thoughts on this one. I like it for what it is. Will probably revisit it from time to time.

    Habibti: Not going to rate this one. RnB Drake just isn't for me anymore.

    Hope the reception to Iceman is showing Drake that FATD truly was a s***ty album and people wasnt just hating. Iceman’s cohesiveness and focus (even if at times felt draggish due to “BEAT SWITCH THE WORRRRRLD”) is proof drake was really going through the yachty directed motions back then

    Beef aside, stans aside, competition is healthy for the sport and iron sharpens iron.

    FATD is overhated. It's still a good Drake album. I like it more than Her Loss.

    Yeah with this 3 pack he probably surpassed everyone. Need to let it set but I don’t think anyone has ever done something on this level

    He surpassed life after death and all Eyez on me which is impossible

    You’re usually pretty good at the “earnest troll” schtick but you got way too much dip on your chip here

    Fatd is a pretty fun quirky album I do think Drake was bored by the state of rap when it dropped though and we all remember 2023 it was pretty dry

    We need FATD to get Iceman

    Strong disagree that s*** was his worst project, especially as far as rap songs sans Away From Home

    Iceman is the best project of the three regardless of what most of the critics will have you believe. It’s his best solo work since DLDT and best overall project since Her Loss. Not perfect but loaded with some of his best rapping this decade.

    Maid Of Honour and Habibti do have some highlights but they’re packed with overly autotuned singing that to me is just skip worthy.

    If I had to rank them: 1) Iceman 2) Maid Of Honour 3) Habibti

    Agree all around with this. Iceman might be most underrated rap album this decade lmao I can’t believe Fantano gave this s*** 2/10.
    Don’t care for other two sans a couple songs as well.
