It's KyoAni, there's not much more to say. They're the most consistent studio in the industry when it comes to quality of work because they only take on 2-3 projects a year instead of stretching themselves thin like other studios. Giving them a movie production schedule is just the cherry on top for the production value. I'd honestly be cool with losing half of the anime we get every year if it meant the remaining works had the time and resources put into them by their studios that KyoAni does with theirs.

The movie has all the typical KyoAni hallmarks: lots of focus on tiny, subtle moments to create emotion. No need for big dramatic speeches to inform the audience of what's important, all KyoAni has ever needed is detailed body language or the intimate focus of the camera on specific objects.
