what is even the guidance for kids now about how to approach life? are we still putting school first or did we realize that most jobs dont require any schooling and are necessary despite their s***ty pay and work conditions

I’ve gotten into the gym heavy since the summer but I’ll be honest I’ve been longing to connecting with others. Most of what I do is solo. And while I’ve learned to enjoy solitude I do wish I could make friends easier. One positive though is that my confidence has grown quite a bit because of the gym. I don’t fear social interactions anymore but breaking the ice is still tough for me.

I really want to get into a hobby where I can meet others but I’m stuck on what exactly.

Recently I decided to get into adult lego sets. I've only built one so far.

I’m going to look into that. I’ve done meetups.com before but would never connect with the people

Funnily enough last con i went to i did try cosplay as a challenge, and i did get people complimenting me and ask for pics. Nothing too special but its a start!

Dont gotta be meetups it could be events or even other friends you know that like hiking.

A homegirl of mine's wanted to go to s gym near mines and said afterwards me wanting go come through (I’m starting to realize blink is possibly better than planet just off the fact the former has free weights and the latter don’t) kept her actually waiting to go.

I always make it a mission to dont let the day go by without having/starting at least one conversation with a complete stranger no matter how big or small, male or female, no ulterior motives but just to do it.
