They've been going all around the internet starting diaspora wars, some of them are toxic af and hate all immigrants, seen some on reddit legit support what ICE are doing.
Kai Cenat saying black Americans have no culture made me xenophobic
That's just as dumb as him saying it.
Was wondering where this all started from, don't tell me it's just one streamer that makes y'all believe everyone thinks you have no culture when you very obviously do?
what kills me is that them niggas be claiming that they're pro black but go harder on black immigrants than cacs
like black immigrants are the reason everything is f***ed up
They will bring up one or two anecdotes in their lives and apply that to hundreds of millions of people across the disapora but zero energy for the kings of racism and white supremacy, it's unreal
That’s not what Valentine is saying bro. You getting defensive
Defensive how we having a discussion lol
How is a kid who’s never been to or lived in Africa but raised in an African household but feels more connected to the black experience in America, as again, they have only ever visited Africa and only know of it through their parents, but all their friends, culture within themselves, and daily walk in life is that of a black American, how are they any different just cause they were born to African parents yet raised in USA? Are they not also a black American? just with African lineage that’s easier to trace? I just had an argument with my parents over this last night, it’s not cap. that group exists and the separation is so nuanced and pointless if you start having the conversation as to why they can’t claim either side lol
The black American experience involves more than just being black in America. It involves the actual history and cultural traditions of black Americans that someone who just came to America would not share. A FBA does have a separate history in this country and thats just a fact. For example our families just went through different experiences bro lol
i see both sides and i know exactly why them niggas wanna be fba
Same I'm African but I can even admit a lot of black migrants come to US alr looking down on black Americans...
It's no coincides as more Africans came to US black Americans are becoming more "ethnocentric"

that’s wild cause my parents been here since the 90s and I literally grew up in the hood south from diapers, but you believe what you want I guess LOL I don’t participate in this divisive conversations for a reason
Really easy to understand why it's gained so much traction especially recently, but these guys are working backwards when it comes to calling out who's actually responsible for the bullshit we go through on the daily and who's responsible for the wedges between Black Americans and other African ppl.
Black Americans' existence as a valid, distinct ethnic group with our own history and unique relationship with the US is constantly denied and disrespected which, it’s fair to wanna push back on that but the xenophobia, 🦝ery, and refusal to see how ALL Africans were victims of the slave trade holds them back so much. So many in that movement either defend or turn a blind eye to global anti-blackness and imperialism because they’re too reactionary to see how all of our struggles are connected and we can’t POSSIBLY be free until Africa itself is free.
It’s stupid and dangerous as f***. I think the feeling of wanting to be respected, TRULY understood and not written out of our own story comes from a real place. But the movement was always flawed and has def been captured by the feds atp who are so obviously trying to further antagonize Black Americans into identifying with this movement so they can continue to plunder Africa and do the most horrible s*** to Africans living outside of Africa.
If they feel that there’s value in making a distinction between descendants of slavery and non-descendants then that would be fair, but there is already a movement for that and loads of literature on the topic that doesn’t involve identifying with America or hating Africans. These guys aren’t just proud of how we’ve created amazing s*** and fought back against America. They happily rep the flag and cheer on imperialism which is just impossible to respect
in reality this is all fueled by white people on twitter starting diaspora wars
i also think the black women/men gender wars were also a psyop keeping it a buck
It is a psyop. That one has been going on since post Civil Rights apparently. What makes it worse is how it really had a bigger effect on Millennials and onward than it did on Gen X and prior, which is why the latter don't really understand how bad it is as the former does.

No hate to you brother we are both african. Thats the truth. No beef

also notice how we’ve been seeing a lot less gender war s*** since the election

Both sides finally came together to call that s*** out. However, we end up with another problem and that is folks identifying as their religion first before their race
But that isn't really new as others was doing something similar like identifying as their gender or sexuality first before their race.

African brothers in solidarity
more cordial and thoughtful exchanges than i expected lol
very proud of everyone Black whos contributed itt
Personally I like the term displaced african for what happened to my ancestors
I was literally asking someone why is it your fault that your great great great great grandad got kidnapped on the way home? It doesn’t make you any less an African
the conversation is basically just an argument about cultural differences today within the household with lineage used as a difference maker when arguing the point and what side you fall on

that last one is especially heavy when you find yourself in a “what the gays are going through is similar to the hate black people face” conversation and it’s gay niggas arguing that point to you next to white gays and ostracizing you
why all these conversations just need to occur away from each other as they are deeply complicated topics

I learn about that one from my sister as she's part of the lgbtq+ community and even she called that one out. She described it as this, "While one thing they share in common is their sexuality, they don't share the same experience because of their race/ethnicity."
more cordial and thoughtful exchanges than i expected lol

I was called a broken buck
