Not all kpop is bad, you are doing generalizations. My point is that yall favor Japanese orientalism literally this.

Artists are apolitical because mainstream audiences don’t want to hear politics from a singer or rapper in 2026. They rather hear it from comedians or podcasters

This is also a dumbass argument.

All nations have their good and bad and wide generalizations of their people or culture or arts often leads to racism and ethnocentrism . Stereotypes and ignorance . Rather than actually addressing systems of control.

Comedians and podcasters lol . There are less artist people take seriously on politics but they still exist . The p**** riots , immortal technique , Lupe’s , Vic Mensa , chance still exist and are often active in community . They help their community . The poser artist that show up to say “ I’m with Kamala “ or “ I’m with Trump “ are the exact government controlled artist I’m speaking on

That’s not what I said . Diddy has direct government connections . The desiree Perez is rocnation was literally pardoned by Trump man . I’m saying if you are going to call out parts of the music industry call it all out . Rather than act like it’s unique to South Koreans . It’s the music industry.

    The aren’t the government themselves

Jpegmafia, redveil, ghais guevara, jid, vince staples. All from the past ten years or so.

The Bigger Picture was a fake woke somg but was huge. People love Rap having actual substance, Rich Men of Richmond (ass country song that dogwhistles) was huge for reason. People like having political subjects that matter to them in music.

So even speaking to this album or artists, it doesnt make sense because of how these artists choose to invoke political messages and even ones that are anti-authority in SK. Again reunification is a radical position that RM, who is the leader of the group, always alludes to and makes messages about.

You think the shift is social media when the truth is label and black balling or doing corny things . Recent artist are policed man . You think people care more about what a comedian says than Kendrick Lamar or any music they engage with daily

They aren’t big by design they are competing with labels that push degeneracy . Lean nitrous and other artist are pushed by major labels . Many of them which are directly invested in pharmaceutical industry

I don’t wanna hear the black balling excuse because if people want to hear it industry black balling won’t matter.

I’ve watched my favorite rapper get black balled and shut out from collabs for years but it didn’t matter because his music was undeniable

Lupe was literally blackballed by his own label and they openly quite clearly made it evident .
