We’re docking points because great producers want to work with him?
If he was a true great, he would transcend that instead of staying in the box of being the producer’s little homie.
beyond ass album aside, he's one of (if not arguably) the most important rappers of all time. all we can hope is that this (and other recent events) light a fire under his ass
Hey I’m not saying he’s not one of the best, in fact he’s one of my favorite
But I feel like it wasn’t strictly the SB s*** that has people turning on Wayne, it was the fact he dropped a terrible album for a beloved series. People will usually forgive the BS outside if the music of the music is good. And the music wasn’t in this case.
“Yah I revisit his prime but Pusha T has made more music that I like over his career than Wayne. “
See this is just insane and it’s an invalid take. You’re just talking albums then? Because there’s no doubt Wayne has more great songs than pusha does.
I basically only listen to albums/mixtapes, especially when revisiting music. It's very rare I just listen to singles. I have a few feature playlsits for artists but I mean when I revisit Wayne I mostly listen to C2 and/or C3
bundle moment
Also do we really think roc nation didn’t bot this? They pulled out all the stops

the camel cooked up the numbers!!!

Okay I see what you mean. I don’t necessarily agree but I get it

Man he's done so many features for random EDM producers and s***
Wayne a better rapper but let's not call Pushas elite taste for picking beats and the way he maintains his quality level a negative
43 year old 2words kneecap keeps popping as hes typing these s***posts. Sit this one out 'fore you sprain somethin
Lil Wayne moving 6 figures first week in 2025 is the mighty falling? Lmfao absurd agenda being pushed here this easily could have just been a Clipse praise thread
C6 made me angry, that's the only way I can put it. I grew up on Wayne, had all of the tapes and everything from DatPiff, etc. C6 just pissed me off because it was like, there was nobody involved who was like, " Hey, this doesn't sound cohesive. This sounds like a f***ing mess. Island Holiday is audio AIDs"
Also do we really think roc nation didn’t bot this? They pulled out all the stops
Wasn't it released independently?

That’s fine for you, but you can’t really judge artists accurately then. Your opinion can’t hold weight in a debate.
That’s the only type of fan that prefers pusha, these weird album obsessed people. And I’m a full project listener too. But I also have my own compilations of Wayne music. Ignoring Wayne’s incredible output because you’re looking at things through a lens that is hyper focused on albums, (along with likely a rockist ideal of what an album should be) is just wrong and stupid.
Your bias says more about you as a listener than it does about Wayne or pusha. And that’s true of basically the whole wave of modern Wayne haters.

For a Carter album first week it’s terrible
making a carter 6 after the carter 5 makes no sense. 5 ended the wayne/cash money fiasco with a huge album release, a hit song, and a worthwhile conclusion to a classic series just for 6 to be awful.

5 is worse than 6, you guys just were pretending to like Wayne at that point cause you thought it was the cool thing to do. If 5 dropped this year it would’ve got the same overblown reaction that 6 did, it had nothing to do with music and everything to do with the Kendrick/Kanye fanbase which has taken over hip hop discourse in the last few years

Wayne also the only artist that gets this treatment
“For a Carter album” like huh? It’s still a late career album lol we not comparing it to Carter 3 or 4 commercially because of the title. how dumb are you honestly
