Drake handled this beef terribly. Not sure if it’s on him or his team (leaks) but yeah it was weird.

You know damn well that’s not what was going on

He was applying pressure the same way Drake was when he was taunting him to drop

No, he wasn't. I liked euphoria. 6:16 in LA wasn't needed because it was very forgettable. MTG was a good song to drop after Family Matters but it falls apart because there's no daughter and it's just not a great diss track to me. NLU is a great track strategically but falls short as a diss.

So numbers-wise, across their careers, Kendrick is seeing Drake?

How are we ignoring Kendrick stepping on his own releases because they weren't hitting the mark with people?! He dropped 4 diss tracks in 4 days because none of them were getting the job done and finally stopped when one of them became a hit but according to y'all, those were flawlessly-timed moves

I don’t think you realize how much worse lyrics like that or from Taylor Made have aged and why that plays a major factor as to why Drake lost in the eyes of the public. You talking about career numbers is a bad faith argument. It’s funny for Drake walking Kendrick down in career numbers that couldn’t save him when he needed it most. If that doesn’t tell you something then idk what else to say

how do you know there's no daughter?
    because drake said so?
drake also said there was no c&d on like that which there was
he also said he planted the items and they turned out to be real

These are a matter of your opinion - which I respect. However, do you see how the timing of the tracks weakened Drake’s position on all of this? That’s the point I think folks are trying to make.

Within the context of the battle, your opponent is telling you to “drop. Drop. Drop.” J. Cole is saying your output isn’t that frequent.

You create a bevy of songs that INDIRECTLY address those points without directly addressing them in a 20 second monologue at the end of your song or hopping on Instagram stories.

NLU does what back to back did but better truth is, if the roles were switched and the number 1 song in the world was a Kendrick diss y'all wouldn't shut up about it

like cmon now dawg he brought it there

TDE's camp were calling media folks out because they weren't gassing euphoria. Cam and Mase said people called them up because they didn't rate euphoria highly. Crooked I made a whole video calling media folks out for not finding euphoria great lol. It happened lol.

Cause you lied about Kendrick fans setting themselves up for disappointment
You lied about Honestly Nevermind being mid
You lied about Naomi being signed to OVO
You lied about the reception to Euphoria

    Real

This argument would work if he wasn’t actively going toe to toe with Drake… but he was. He was releasing songs back and forth with the other rapper he was sparring with. Say what you want about the numbers, the allegations, industry politics, whatever -

We have NEVER seen a response to a heavy hitter song the magnitude of Family Matters within an hour before. That was the knockout punch.

You can’t call MTG a response to Family Matters. It was pre-recorded, loaded in the tuck, and responded to absolutely nothing from Family Matters. It was a well-timed move still, but it was not a response. It was also full of bullshit

Why are you being disingenuous? Are you ignoring how against Drake social media has been before this beef ever took off? Or how people have only given Kendrick props, seen his side of things during the beef and how much that played in him "winning"?

You've got a multitude of fanbases coming together to support Kendrick because he's going at Drake. That's the reason his diss tracks are doing numbers. He didn't even reach these numbers with songs off DAMN and all of this ties back to Drake at the end of the day.

This is fair - my fault for calling it a direct response. NLU is more a response than MTG.

Drake lost and he quit first lmao idk how people can even argue about it at this point.

Bro literally said "you can drop 100 tracks I'll see ya later" and people really think he's about to continue.

Bro literally said "I don't want to diss you anymore" WORD FOR WORD, and people think he's about to continue.

Bro literally said "Summer Vibes up next" and people STILL THINK HE'S ABOUT TO CONTINUE

It's over lol. Our boy lost and anyone denying it is fanboying. This is basically parallel to what happened to Meek Mill when Drake killed him to be honest lol. The fact that two of Kendrick's diss tracks are outperforming Drake's is just salt in the wound.

-Drake f***ed up with the Push Ups release. Should've been a soundcloud or youtube or even an IG drop.

-Drake f***ed up running his mouth to Ak as much as he did

-Drake f***ed up hyping up, and letting people get on Twitter (and even get on here) and hype up his so called "red button"

-Drake f***ed up when Family Matters got stepped on by meet the grahams and he didn't have another response ready, especially when meet the grahams was far more scathing and brutal than anything Drake did in Family Matters.

And then lets talk about the "red button". Family Matters being his nuke track is crazy when he really didn't say anything crazy about the other guys involved in the beef, and while he exposed Kendrick as an alleged woman beater, he didn't expand on that s*** enough. Falls flat when the opposition drops a diss track with a f***ing concept attached to it

Like wtf? Nigga penned an entire letter to your son saying you aint s***, you're a s*** father with an identity crisis and that he can step in and be your kid's mentor in your place, told your Dad its his fault you're f***ed up like you are, told your mom that you should die, and basically tried to dismantle your character. The level of brutality Kendrick came with is what i expect when niggas are posting nuclear bombs and niggas getting slaughtered to hype up your diss track

Kendrick may have benefited to some degree of people that just dislike Drake but he’s not some make a wish kid that people are banding together for like Kendrick is a star in his own right. I’d even argue despite all the fumbles Drake was still awarded some grace because people were waiting for his response. When FM dropped everyone was riding with him for the ten minutes before Kendrick dropped again. Goes back to just getting outplayed throughout the match. Maybe if he wasn’t taunting Kendrick about not dropping on a song he had to delete it wouldn’t have blown up in his face as bad

All without saying a word on social media or approaching streamers beforehand. It’s the same reason why silence is golden in any form of combat. Just keep it on wax - seriously.

There are so many moments where Drake’s internet savvy works in his favor - a rap beef with Kendrick Lamar was not one of them.

I just wanted to get that post off I haven't been keeping up with the beef like that, so what you said may be true

But those are a few washed up former rappers turned media personalities, everybody been hopping on this beef to get their 15 seconds. I'm talking about reactions from people like us on here and social media. Euphoria was getting praise from everyone, 6:16 dropped as a Back 2 Back type move, there's even a line on Euphoria hunting Kendrick would do that. Wasn't because of disappointing reception to Euphoria

Agreed, but Kendrick didn’t say anything about anything drake exposing to him, also you didn’t mention the fake Kendrick dad act, supposedly real dad is Dave free?
    So where’s addressing that
Also all Kendrick’s “gf” gotta do is hop on ig post a story n say “lmao drake a liar”
    And that’ll debunk it
