DLC we got was cool but reading back through old speculation
so much more we could’ve gotten. The fingers stuff was still disappointing in the dlc for me
Agreed
I liked the DLC in terms of gameplay and loot but the lore and direction was meh outside of Messmer
I am looking forward to the lore in Nightreign tho and how's it pulling the share universe theory together
I know right now it's not considered main timeline canon, but I think that's temporary like with DS2 and will def be incorporated n referenced to whatever degree in the next mainline Souls/Ring/Borne game like DS2 with DS3
And of course we get to look at more of the other cultures in ER within Nightreign which I'm really excited about - and been one of the main things I wanted since day 1
Launch day (and pre launch day since I and a few others got the game one to two days early itt lmao) to the next month was one of the best experiences I ever had in gaming with all of y'all itt and us being some of the first people in the community to find certain things and piece together others - and just all the early speculation and exploration when no one knew anything
@ keing come back we miss u
Ya know, I hope n think the DLC(s) one of them revolves around the Godskin godhood people n the dusk eye queen @Kenig
Theres speculation that Melina (i think thats how u spell it), ur maiden poser|| is her or a descendant of her n why her || eye is tatted closed n what happens at the end of Frenzy ending.
Malekith is said to have killed the Duskeye Queen n disbanded their faction, they have the death flame that is related to Destined Death, again which she mentions to "give to you" at the end of Frenzy ending. Godskin seem to have some kind of relationship with Rykard too, with how they do appear at Volcano Manor & they hunt "gods" like how Rykard wants to devour them. Wouldnt be surprised that the leftover Godskin ppl joined Rykard after Melekith conquered them.
So maybe a DLC that involves Rykard n the Godskins n possibly her, and Rykard is technically immortal with the abilty to regenerate n how Tanith wanted him to take control of her body for a faster rebirth. So we take down Rykard n the scattered Godskins once n for all, n maybe get more on her.
DLC 1, Rykard & the Godskins (First since Rykard isnt as serious as the other 2 but would be a good start))
DLC 2, Space & the hub 2 Fingers; space called upon by it (the DLC everyone wants/sees the most n the most no brainer, good middle)
DLC 3, Miquelle & the Blood Dynasty (the big bang final DLC that also has the most lore n world ramifications, basically "our Ringed City")
Those seem like the 3 main likely ones that are also fleshed out a lot with a lot going on but a lot still open.
Thats my real bet on the realistic DLC(s) that isnt personal wishes/wants, n of course they could always do sumn random but I doubt it, cuz they always have bread crumbs for the future DLCs. Thats my final answer/theory until announcement
My predictions were kinda put all together for the DLC tho lmao funny enough - just nowhere near explored or expanded as I originally hoped
I think only having one DLC sucks, just like what they did to Bloodborne, and there's so much in both worlds left unsaid and unexplored
Meanwhile every Souls game got two to 3 DLCs that showed a lot and sometimes even introduced a few entirely new things - especially DS3 which spoiled TF out of us

Yeah SOTE touched upon some things as little nods but nothing felt definitive in the way miquella, as the central character to the dlc, got the focus.
Like cool we saw another woman touched by the rot god, a bit more on the fingers and new frenzy characters, but we didn’t get to actually see the rot god, the finger ruins were half baked, and only got to fight another frenzy affected person rather than seeing/fighting the origin of frenzy.
I hope nightrein is good because otherwise that development could’ve instead been put into an ER2 that gives us a flawed but expansive sequel just like DS2
This was so cold big bro
Damn I really need to play the DLC at one point
Also, hard to believe its already been 3 years since this came out
If I break another mouse over this f***ing game I’m uninstalling it.
This shouldn’t be this difficult. Not even remotely fun now
F***ing stupid game

Let it out bro
I've formally decided this is a top 5 game of all time for me
I wish I could play this for the first time again man
Opened the door for so many amazing experiences too as my first Soulsborne game
Bloodborne and Dark Souls 1 were absolute cinema to me, S tier gaming experiences. Sekrio was also incredible.
DS2 and DS3 felt more like chores to me unfortunately, but I think I was just burnt out. DS3 I regret playing as a pyromancer, it was boring just flinging fireballs the whole game. I'll prob replay it at some point
Now wrapping up with Demons Souls Remake, what do I do when I'm done

Does it have that feel? Is the gameplay similar at all?
Didn't really look like my type of thing from clips I've seen but I'm open to being wrong for sure

Not at all similar, you can choose to go with a melee-heavy build to bring some of that feel back though and a lot of the bosses are reminiscent of souls ones
still a very very high quality game. Incredible story with super high-octane, fast-paced combat
I can't watch other ppls playthrough of the game. Mfs will run past every enemy to fight the boss for 5 hours then go to one of the farm spot and farm for 2 hours to get to the appropriate level

They be playing but got no love for the game.
Just downloaded this and finally beat Tree Sentinel after ~4 hours
I know thats not s*** compared to the rest of the bosses but it felt so good finally putting his ass on a tshirt

Yeah I did that too. Youre supposed to move on and fight him later but I just had to be that guy who bashed his head against the wall until I got him

My ego definitely took over. I didn’t fight him immediately immediately I leveled my vigor up to like level 16, got the lordsworn long sword, upgraded my flasks a little, and got the physick’s flask that buffed me a little but I was definitely still underleveled for him.
I’m going for an INT/DEX build but I felt like I had to beat him with steel just to prove to myself that I could do it before I start looking for powerful spells and sorceries.
