yeah lol the spell you can get with the second lord’s soul
it’s full moon magic
F*** I’m so close to 64, when can you respec and how expensive is it/is it free?
Just realized I started at level 6 with 16 int so I coulda hit 64 already if I only spec’d int
This is one of the best open world games of all time so not sure how you argue that open world didn’t work well with the souls formula
Yeah it’s a horrible take lmao
i keep seeing spells and staffs that require 32-64 int and mine is sitting at 16 rn
need to get that s*** up
Character player gonna be like level 170 by the time the story is finished
they really wanted you to be beefy as f*** in this one
Hot take I guess but I don't think being open world truly benefits the souls formula
I think they both work and the main areas/zones are literally traditional levels, you just walk to them instead
Im fine with either

it’s literally the same exact game with much much much more content LMAO
i’m convinced niggas don’t like video games anymore
Not as hot as you think, I haven’t played ER but I agree with you. Not interested in an open world - the strength of souls game has never really been the gameplay always the set pieces spectacle and immersion. I think all three of those benefit more from a linear structure
Combat and bosses are my fav parts of fs games lol
And all the rest of that exists in ER
you’re saying you haven’t even fought Margit yet? lmfao you’re good bro, i beat Godrick at lvl 24
nope i just did everything in limgrave

they've always had a good balance of exploration within their linear levels, I personally don't enjoy stumbling around the world just because
Literally the main point i play FS games is for the boss battles and ER delivers that by the truckloads
cleared out the first camp, feeling very accomplished
Make sure u collect everything
Get the free weapons near the horse grace
Just found an overleveled boss I'm doing the smallest damage to, holy s*** I'm out
Just got kicked to title screen after getting Margit to his last sliver of health for the first time
Thanks fromsoft 👍

i respect your opinion but i don’t think I’ve ever heard that before
if anything the open world this time has magnified the three strengths you listed so you might still enjoy it

Yeah lol idgi, and the open world isnt standard. S*** is intricate af.
But i dont think u can "get" the open world until u actually see. I didnt.
I was excited for the game but cautious about the open world aspect, im am no longer cautious but thrilled.
And the further i go, the more the game reveals wbat it world truly is.
This is not a one elevation one surface open world like gta or ubisoft.

oh yea, got a bunch and some chesties. explored a bit before getting my s*** punched in, which means it's break time !

Lmao thats half the fun dont u know
Glad ur enjoying it

lmao same, it was in a dark cave and it was a MASSIVE werewolf dude looked like he could bench press a castle tower
Stormveil is literally a DS reg level.
But you just can go to it whenever you want.

The open world in this game is so good because it amplifies the unknown if traditional souls games by like 100.
Just throwing you into a world with no direction makes this game what it is.
More open world games need to follow this formula of not holding your hand because this s*** is amazing

yeah just absolutely classic FS level design
haven’t done any of the other legacy dungeons yet but I’m hoping it’s the same for them as well
Hot take I guess but I don't think being open world truly benefits the souls formula
The open world FromSoft has created is one of the most naturally flowing open worlds I’ve ever played. I think a lot of people dislike the open world approach for a Souls game cause it seems to make the game lack structure but I think it does the opposite. It immerses you into the role playing elements even more and gives you freedom to approach situyas you wish, whether their good or bad ideas.
I love the no hand holding approach

Yeah, for me I preferred the structure of the previous games since you typically had a clear goal of what you were working towards

Real, havent really been a game like since like Morrowind where you literally have to make ur own waypoint n piece the path together.
Agreed. All the nooks n crannies are crazy too. Almost like real holls, mountains and fields. It isnt just a flat plain with some huge triangles sticking out.
Qnd it really says something that u cant go into too much detail without spoiling, even the open world, because of how is packed & pulled together.
