didnt use magic when i first played
and never really tried magic in any souls game
but yo magic is fun as f*** lmao
did faith/str first play
doing a guts run now
will prob do a magic run next so i can also use darkmoon
On a successful second run going big faith type builds . Can’t help but noticing the little details , going to a new grace or the lead up to an to a dungeon to specific enemy placements lore wise. World really feels lived in even compared to good open world games like ghost elden ring just pulls off immersion on a different level
i didnt use magic in Dark Souls 1-3
but i used magic in Elden Ring on my first character because of the fact that Elden Ring seemed even more about the fantasy aspects (with magic as a major part of the combat) than it did another gothic sword/axe based soulslike
Doing a magic run for the first time in my souls career. Can I say something without yall getting mad? this s\*\*\* easier id never do this as my first run I haven't gotten to the higher level int spells yet they look cool.

I'm undecided on switching to faith/str. I think faith got cooler spells but int got better in terms of fighting

there so many enemies that make a magic-only user struggle
but then there are so many enemies that are easier as well
i had an easier time as a Samurai than i did as an Astrologer

int is more straightforward since every spell feels similar and casts relatively fast. Best thing about faith builds is the damage variety, you can hit with fire/lightning/holy depending on what you're fighting is weak against.
Also blasphemous blade is ridiculously OP if you want to steamroll everything lmao
Low key I enjoy pure faith or pure int more than melee builds in this game just because of the spell variety

I'm not a pure magic user tbh rn I'm int dex with a rapier or night cavalry flail. Im 50/50 when I'm fighting
i'm already 12 hours into my new run and i've only killed margit and godrick
just been running around doing random s***
Has this be corroborated by anyone else? Can’t find any other mention of it.

If Tom Henderson is saying it chances are it’s real. I’ve never seen him put out fake/false info.

This map looks unbelievable
but zooming out and toggling between the discrete Lands of Shadow map and that of The Lands Between, it does appear that FromSoftware boss Hidetaka Miyazaki was broadly right when he compared its size to that of Limgrave, Elden Ring's opening area. The Land of Shadow does look roughly comparable to Limgrave - but that's including the Weeping Peninsula area to the south, and even perhaps just a touch of Caelid. Point being: this area is big.
