SPOILERS FOR THE ROCKY MOUNTAIN IN THE SOUTH EAST OF THE MAP
I defeated Bayle, one of the best fights from has ever made, possibly better than placidusax. In contention for best dragon fight ever, never really had camera issues aside from when we found ourselves in the edges of the arena, happened rarily fortunately. Simply incredible. I skipped senessax tho, the only from boss ive skipped since the Blue smelter demon in dark souls 2\. Bullshit asset re-use. I decided i'll cheese the f\*\*\* out of him after beating the elden beast lmao, he dont deserve a fair fight.
I almost skipped senessax too but then I just took the great dragon-hunter katana to +9, summoned mimic and spammed L2 on her head. She was honestly more difficult than bayle for me, which was probably one of the best fights I’ve ever had in fromsoft
Just attack the stomach
Thanks yeah I finally got it. But f*** that sucked. Magic helped me stun it a couple times too
Lol it seems we were there at the same time. I was just there as well. The woods themselves were really boring imo, first thing in the DLC that I didn’t enjoy. Was pretty big and barren and uninteresting with no ability to ride Torrent. I did eventually find a…”location” there though which I’m now going through.
This game does suffer from "big empty boring spaces" syndrome, which is annoying when you know that maybe, somewhere, there's a ladder or a door giving access to important content—but you got to spend time sprinting toward cliffs or empty spaces.
Basically, they should stop doing open worlds, in my opinion. Their design philosophy can be "open" with "linear" games. That was the case with Dark Souls One. You can expand on that without doing the bullshit open world stuff.
Death knight axes have a fun ash of war but don't hit hard enough
How I feel with the hand-to-hand arts. I’m using them for the drip but when an encounter gets too difficult I pull out the ol’ reliable star fists. Same with golem fists, cool throwing R2 but they take up mad stamina and don’t seem more effective than the star fists…
Btw what’s everyone’s testing enemy/area now? I use the 7th floor storeroom single fire knight lol
I mean at the start of the fight this dude super sayain flies to your ass ready to squabble

Anvil hammer has helped me so much in this dlc. I want a cool ass weapon to use that still hits like a truck.
Most of what I'm getting is kind of for show atp. Haven't been able to upgrade since the hammer and rellanas swords

So many weapons I want to use require like 11 int and my dumb ass strength build only has 7
its been common practice by them now that they make s*** impossibly difficult at release and then silently nerf stuff or in this case buff us
it really just sounds like they equalized the buffs so you dont have to get a ton of them before you start noticing a difference. bosses are still gonna f*** people up.

Not at all its a buff through and through and especially in the first levels
If you are:
level 1 now you get the value of level 2 in the old system
Level 2 gets you the old level 4
Level 5-> old level 7
Level 10 -> old level 13
Level 15 -> old level 19
Level 18 -> old level 20
And level 20 is 5% better than the old level 20
(Remember even in the old system the values at level 10+ werent as meaningful)
Its on the wiki
This is pretty much a rellana nerf. If players dont leave the starting areas and get to her and get the fragments they will deal 15% more damag

yeah, early Erdtree will feel it the most for sure. it makes sense. this system worked in Sekiro because that game is very linear and they knew how powerful you'd be at what boss for the most part. here a player can potentially f*** themselves pretty hard if they dont have enough buffs.

There’s like 10 larval tears in the dlc fyi and they’re all easy to get
I haven’t played the game myself but I’ve been watching my friend stream it on discord
Nigga has been stuck on the lion for like 3 days now
