lmao damn so mad for no reason. its a field boss, all the field bosses are reused
yes, sure, all the field bosses are reused but the other 2 Ghostflame Dragons are in areas that they fit in - so the center area of the Cerulean Coast region definitely didn't need to have a copy paste field boss that's not even the same theme as the area whatsoever, idk maybe it's critical but it's not a "weird criticism" it's legit
just quote or @ me next time lol i wasn't mad u just move different i guess
stop levelling after 150ish and you'll be at the sweet spot! still challenging for endgame but plenty points to survive most 1shot moves
I’m only at like 54 right now but I’m tearing through the Ray lucaria academy. I might stop leveling for a lil though u til the game gets hard again
I cant even think of how to dodge 80% of the attacks in phase 2, i die too quickly to experiment
Remember yall:
Blunt weapons such as Maces, Hammers & the rock throwing spells work great against Rock, stone & gem enemies while everything else gets resisted by those types. Bosses like the space bulls and blue skinny sapphire guys down to regular enemies like stone giants and jewel miners
Lightning works ok on them
For example:
Any time i go through a miner forge dungeon in base game or dlc i equip a Great Hammer with the dodge ash of war, a greatshield & vykes lightning buff
Ancient Meteoric Ore Greatsword
Have been on it for a couple days. Absolute beast.
On average i beat most bosses in Souls and Souls-like games (including Sekiro and AC6) in b3 to 7 tries & the hardest boss so far has been a a bear in the open world lmao
6 tries to beat a bear
Those mad rabies bears were beating my butt even in the base game man

That's what makes the second phase so hard. So much going on and so fast that it's hard to comprehend and get enough room to experiment. Those holy lights/flash bangs that go off after almost all of his attacks are the main problem imo. Glad to say I beat him last night.

Same lmao then they made an alpha in the dlc

Its so sick and i love how a thust is its heavy attack too
Im on NG+ and like level 280 lmao same profile i plat the game on.
I tried the DLC on NG++ but it nwas extremely hard even high leveled, good thing i saved a file on a usb of my NG+ towards the end where i have Haligtree and the burned capital unlocked. Just booted back to that and the DLC is now manageable while still being challenging.
Shout out my year+ ago foresight

I'll keep struggling i guess, hopefully by the time ive learned him i'll appreciate the fight more, cause for now I see phase 2 as a great spectacle but nothing more.
To say something positive, i loved everything from beating Messmer to reaching the final boss wholeheartedly. Aesthetically and narratively speaking, the final boss is incredibile too. I'd never thought this is what i would face at the end before the dlc launched, and sote does a great job at hinting at it through some optional content with the ansbach and freyja quests
Ill also say that the lion warrior before Leda is 10000 times more frustrating than the final boss😭😭

That second phase was the only part of the DLC that made me curse
Took many deaths but eventually I managed to learn just enough about avoiding some of the attacks and eventually beat him.

I beat the DLC on NG+ and honestly I felt it was surprisingly easy compared to the base game. When I started the DLC I was perhaps level 160-165, and at the end of it I reached like 210-220.
The majority of boss fights never felt unfair. Second phase of the final boss would be the closest thing to being on the verge of unfair, but other than that, it was fair game.
Of course, I died several times to most of the main bosses until I learned their attacks and timing and dodging and all that usual stuff, but that's part of the process of figuring out a boss. I always knew that I would and could beat them once I knew what they were about. I never felt that I was in over my head or that the DLC was "too hard" as some complained when it released.

Things will even out soon, dw. Have you explored Caelid yet?

You have to stay in close and roll to the front left
You will get wrecked if you try to keep your distance at all
