yh he got the flows and melodies down for sure and riding different beats well. writing is just important to me so sometimes I feel like damn he's rly just saying words and it makes me tune out a bit.

I rly dig that he's making pop with this lo-fi sound, I just read through the lyrics on here and I think he's actually proving that he can do wordplay and hints at some very evocative emotional stuff like the first verse on Blow the Speaker, but then always makes sure to quickly revert it back to common rapper speak, I think that's why I'm a bit frustrated. I think if he allows himself to not hide behind clichés and speak more personally he could write some great songs, hoping he does that w the album. so far I'm only half-feeling it.

yeah this type of simplicity lyrically can work for a project or 2, it comes off as earnest with the lofi ish backdrop but he’s definitely gonna have to step it up soon I think
