I’ve been slightly thinking of starting a new run of 3/NV/4 and just wanna know if I should wait

4 I would say no especially now that the anniversary edition is out

For 4 (imo) it’s absolutely essential to play with every creation club quest enabled. If you are trying to play in release order than maybe wait?

While fallout 3 remaster may kinda make sense? To me it doesn’t at all. It should be a NV remaster if a remaster is what they are doing rn

It’s already dumb that they didn’t piggyback off of one of those fallout 1 recreation mods to ride the hype of the first season. It’s even more baffling there’s no NV remaster to piggyback off s2

  • Dipset Forever

Oh yeah of course, given the show tie-in, now is the perfect time for NV

Or a ground-up remake of the first two

They’ve been adamantly denying a remake of the first 2 for eons

  • AKA SB

Since Bethesda has their hands full with TES6 and Starfield DLC at the moment, which external studio do you think should tackle a brand-new Fallout (mainline or "spinoff" like NV)?
Obsidian seems like the obvious answer, but I’m curious as to who else could be up to the task

I remember reading that Microsoft was gonna move the fallout franchise from Bethesda because of the fact that they haven’t dropped anything and the show got big but who knows

It’s moronic and expected from the very incompetent Bethesda

I was honestly considering running the franchise series in order. Would probably take me a long time and I’d have to take breaks but I did it over a span of like a year and a half with the FromSoft games

I’ve never played 1 and 2 and have always wanted to

3 and 4 are all time favorites of mine and I never finished NV

inXile would be the obvious choice but I’m not sure how they’d handle a AAA game. Arkane studios (austin) could be interesting too

    RIP Arkane Austin

That’s really why I want them to gift fallout 5 to someone else

They haven’t even put out the game they’re already doing for Microsoft

Maybe it is a fallout 5 announcement

  • If the games are indeed expected to tie into the show… just a hailmary

  • It’s going to be funko pops isn’t it

  • They really did such an outstanding job adding Vault Boy to Smash Bros.

They don’t even have elder scrolls 6 ready and that’s gonna be released first I’d imagine

I could see them start to prioritize fallout since it probably makes them more money than ES atp

Did you try 4? It lets fans down because it’s quite a bit streamlined and diluted from a narrative perspective and im overall richness but it is a super fun AAA RPG with a tone/style that you only get in fallout (and now wonderfully on tv)

It’s defo the easiest one to just drop into in 2026. If you love the show, get an hour into that game, put the in game radio on and explore the wasteland with the 40s/50s songs playing and you’ll really have a good time

I was gonna cop that when that current-gen update dropped, but then apparently Bethesda somehow f*cked up a re-release of an old game so I stayed away from it and just stuck with Starfield (which ALSO hasn’t been fixed to this day ).
But thanks for the recommendation nonetheless
