@Galaxy I wasn’t planning on doing one of these, but I figured why not. After about #15 the list gets pretty random. I wish there was a bit more diversity on here if I’m being honest. I’d like to have listened to full records from artists like Aretha Franklin and Nina Simone. Although I’ve always struggled to get into R&B or Soul.

I rarely talk to anyone about music these days besides my girlfriend tbf, and she mostly listens to pop unless it's stuff I'm showing her

Back when I was bartending I had cool music convos all the time, but those days are gone

used to have great convos about film back when I bartended at british airways lounge. met some Danish guy who worked for lars von trier.

also their was this regular customer from london who spent 1 week in Boston every month. Used to to talk to him for like 2 hours on the first Friday of every month about movies. He was the nicest guy I've ever met.

We were talking about Pan's Labyrinth and he told me it was too difficult of a film for him to watch. (which confused me because it's really not that sad of a film, the little girl dies in the very first shot of the film so you're prepared for it at the end).

Months later I learned from another bartender that his 11 year old daughter died of cancer. And then his witch wife blamed him for her death and left him.

But he got remarried and his new wife was a total smokeshow. This guy was not a looker but he made bank/had a winning personality, and she looked like a swimsuit model

Will never forget that dude or our conversations, always used to tip me like 40 dollars and we technically weren't allowed to receive tips. Can't believe someone who had been through something like that could be the nicest/happiest person I ever came across
