    You ever heard of this band Gouge Away ? They from my area and signed to Deathwish. Kinda grungy/alt grooves with Kim Gordon/Kim Deal vocals

    I loved it, really good cinema experience just cause it feels absolutely massive. And I feel like despite all the changes they had to make it still retains the themes of the book pretty well. I really liked the first one too though

    That POV shot of him riding the worm over the crest of that sand dune haven't been that excited at the cinema since Interstellar entered the black hole

    Yeah that’s the most frustrating part about his criticism. Almost every possible combination of sounds has been done. He’s speaking about them as if they’re either unconscious of what they’re doing or trying to get away with stealing. I think there’s room in modern music—when we’re half a century removed from the sounds they’re pulling from—to try and distill the essence at the heart of that older work and bring more of it into the world. Those styles are arguably as alien to younger people now as any possible new avant garde music that could be made in the moment.

    If you look at the way people were writing about music in the '50s and early 60s, they had already thought everything had been done. Same with the late 60s, 80s, now... The invention of new genres is a rare one but there will always be more sounds to explore.

    But yeah, I wouldn't judge something that's going for more of a classical sound too harshly for it.

    Tbh idk how one singular person's opinion holds any real weight when it comes to reviewing something in todays time. It almost feels mandatory to have a user/group discussion to go along with it.

    Ill take yall opinion over any of these "crtics"

    this was a very disappointing post to read.

    why lol i dont care for 99% of contemporary pop by English speaking artist so why would I care about the Asian version?

    I can listen to non English folk rock and art rock or whatever from Chile, Brazil, Germany etc cause I love those genres. Pop has always been mostly trash to me.

    Yea but dude I been sleeping on Q's full albums despite diggin his features/interviews all these years. I would say its up there with Blank Face.
