I’ve been going through the Byrds catalog again, and honestly upon relisten of 5th Dimension, it’s kinda bland. It doesn’t quite have the consistency of songs their other records do. Curious how you feel about it?

It really depends on the song being covered, the person covering, and the crowd. Also the song being covered has to not only be iconic, but known by the crowd as well.

Also, some rap songs are so personal to who the rapper is that it would be weird if other people covered it. I can't imagine another musician covering Jay Z's Public Service Announcement and it having a fraction of the same effect as him doing it.
