I wish I'd just carried on torrenting s*** and maintained my own library. It'd be way too much effort to pick that all back up again now
How is Tidal? I wanna make a switch from spotify but apparently apple music is a bit janky on android
very similar to spotify actually. there are differences but I'm still trying to figure it out.
at least it doesn't force me to watch music videos and the sound quality is somewhat decent. hope it gets better once my trial is over and i carry on to premium. then again, spotify doesn't have the best sound quality either. Any of my 320 kbps mp3s sounds vastly superior to both despite having set the quality to high on each service
Glam rock at the zenith of its zenith
Is there anyone else notable in glam other than T. Rex, Bowie, Roxy, Slade and The Dolls?
Rocky Horror Picture Show lowkey the best glam album
Speaking of Glam Rock, Green (80s band) could be a FAM favorite. Discovered them through Scaruffi but they are very different from what he usually recommends. Super melodic, catchy Indie Rock/Power Pop with Glam, Jangle and Punk overtones. Kinda a mix of R.E.M., Kinks, Big Star, Beales, Byrds and Slade. known for quite some years but never recommend them for some reason.
Their first three albums are all pretty great with White Soul being their masterpiece

‘90s Nickelodeon was too rad :datass:

End of de summer time hazy nights
End of de summer time hazy nights
I sat in my garden in the evening sun with a beer last weekend and listened to You're Living All Over Me. Perfect vibe
switched to TIDAL because I won't pay for AI arms technology but my last.fm won't scrobble it properly despite having turned it on in the settings
The company that owns tidal got caught processing cryptocurrency transactions for terrorist groups and s***
Doubt you'll find a single streaming service that aren't doing evil

Yeah they're all evil but Tidal seems to pay a little more to their artists so you have to find some sort of lesser evil to base it off of

I've bought enough physical media, concert tickets and merch to not have to factor that in

@drjdeponytail
Only if de Riff Squad can meet up and form like The Highway Men

Crazy as it sounds a bunch of hardcore/metal bands used to do shows at this dive bar in Little Haiti out of all places and tear it up. I remember Infest, Tragedy, Eyehategod, Shai Hulud, Ceremony, and bunch of others too.

Damn, really?

But yeah, this is great. Totally my sound.
no Cockney Rebel or Mick Ronson mention?
I did mention Cockney Rebel. I just credited it to Steve Harley. I love Mick, but I also don’t think of him as an album artist. I adore certain songs, but the full records never blow me away.
