never played them outside of kh1 for a few days rental as a lil kid n didnt get far - everything i see of kh series just baffles me lmao
It's definitely a very odd series especially if you haven't played much of it before lmao. I got SUPER attached to the series as a kid and I don't even like Disney much at all. It does have incredible combat though. KH2 & KH3 have some of the best combat and boss fights in gaming imo.
It is a bunch of nonsense, but it has its charm for sure.

I def get it especially in that sense and think it's cool but it's also one of the funniest out of context games ever
The Hercules collesuem boss fights have always stuck in my head tho from KH1 of what I played n I saw my friend play thru the lion king section in KH2 which was also cool

surprised they havent tried to reset the kh series tbh
likes its core fanbase has to be people late 20s to 30s, the disney s*** we like isnt new disney, but they put new disney in, but its an audience mismatch and people under 20 do not care about kh
and to get into the series there is a ton of s*** to play, so its in such a weird convoluted spot

It's so stupid man, but can't help but love it
But ya, the Olympus tournaments were good as f***. 1 still had the best version of it in the series by far. I have a lot of nostalgia for it lol

Ya man, I'm turning 32 this year and I was an omega KH fan up until the past few years. It's just taking too much time between games. Figured it wouldn't be much of an issue with 4, but seems like the FF7 games got the priority between the two series.
There is just so much convolution too, Disney not being as much of a staple in younger peoples' lives today, kinda high barrier to entry if you want to get into the series with how many games there are (has been made considerably easier now that they're on all consoles in a single package), but you still got the mobile game lore that's very important to the story (one of which got cancelled so I assume they gotta shove THAT story into 4). It's a mess lol. I would not be surprised if the series just ends after 4.
I'd love for them to ditch the Disney stuff and just stick with the original stuff, but that will never happen lol.

Been awhile since I played so I could be wrong, but KH3 not having Olympus tournaments in that beautiful world is a crime and I’m still mad

Nah, you're right; that made NO sense. Super disappointing. I know there's some mods out there that add those types of fights but it not being in the main game is a huge miss. I'll allow it though since the data fights + Yozora in ReMind were the best fights in any of the games. Better have that s*** in 4 though

Yeah I wonder if maybe disney pushes for it or the bag is too much to pass on hence why they make all the random side stuff and mobile games
but a fresh take on it or even getting nomura and the gang on a new ip would be a breath of fresh air between all the final fantasy and kh

I'm sure it's a nightmare working with Disney in the first place lol. As for the a IP, I know Nomura wanted to make Verum Rex/new Versus 13 or w/e the Yozora game would be called, but that's still very much FF/KH-related. Regardless of what him and the team put out, I'm gonna play it, but they gotta release something first
I know you can google it but sometimes just asking is easier than googling or trying to understand wiki pages
So was FF7 a game
And then they’ve broken these remakes in 3 games?
If so, would the first FF7 remake be a good place to start if wanting to get into the series?
best place to start is og, remake is def playable with no prior knowledge but it works best if u do as it's like a mild sequel
The 7 Remake team is maybe legitimately the best team in the industry right now. Smart, efficient, and constantly embracing the fun.
