Silas1. Part of the plea deal means they can be called to testify. The prosecution will just make them say everything they said in the plea deal on trial.
2. Gunna and Slimelife don't need to identify Thug as the leader of the gang. They just needed to admit that YSL is a gang. Thug is a cofounder of YSL so a jury can already assume hes a leader. Plus they have witnesses and evidence that can show hes the leader.
3. This is not true. Again, part of the plea deal means they have to testify in court when called. They can't just say I didn't want to go to trial.
Gunna and the others can plead the 5th and not implicate themselves in crimes but if they get asked about Thug or YSL as a gang, they have to answer or else they go to jail for violating their plea deal.
The plea deals say they can be called by any party the defense or prosecution. That’s just standard it doesn’t mean they agreed to to testify exclusively for the state.
But none of that matters. Gunna n Slimelife don’t have any evidence against them for being apart of any murders or attempts etc. they are super insignificant to the case, the prosecution doesn’t need them it would be a waste of time to call them to the stand.
Even if they do since there’s no evidence of them knowing anything else if they are asked stuff that doesn’t involve them they can simply say “I dont know” and prosecution can’t prove what they know.
