I could be misremembering but if I understood right, the couple that refused to sacrifice their children originally now keep ending up back in the town in different forms, so I’m not sure if Miranda & Chris were actually together, I think it was closer to a Tabitha/Jade situation. I may also be way wrong who knows.

I don’t think Boyd has told anyone about coming across the lighthouse yet. They were emphasizing how tight lipped he was being around this point. He didn’t even initially tell Kristie about the cut, just the bites, or what actually went down to Ellis. For all everyone else knows, the lighthouse isn’t even in the same space as them and the only way is the tree. Maybe he did tell his close few but they know better to let it slip especially after Randall and definitely not to someone like Acosta
And for him, his whole thing is minimizing the body count, especially after Abby. All he got from going out with Sara was barely escaping death, only to bring a new nightmare on them. Pretty much every time he’s gone on the offensive, it’s blown up in his face.

For Tabitha, the tree wasn’t presented as the way out. Victor said that Miranda said that was the way to the tower, and to save the children. Which to her is/was the way out. While now she knows the “tower” is the lighthouse, there were no children. Nothing to save or even anything to solve/help, just looped right back to town.

They also haven’t really had the time to sit and properly strategize as this supposed to be happening in a span of weeks and it’s one thing after another now.
Which is my gripe with the writing. So Tabitha with just a makeshift clinic done recovered from two crashes, falling through a hole and being thrown out a tower within a month like she Vegeta

Maybe Jim/Kenny went when they went but he came back during the bus/radio chaos, and nobody was supposed to know about Sara yet. One of the most memorable scenes that season for me was when Donna kept asking him what really happened out there in the greenhouse, and he just kept quiet and rambled about the two dead whose names formed the soldier he knew
