Is season 4 anyways better y’all? Should I finish my rewatch of 1-3?

I think so just to find out what happens but the characters are really dumb

gf and i started this last night randomly, fun little show so far

On one hand, I get some of the reasons why characters act the way they do. But goddd, I groan a majority of the time whenever the characters try and argue with one another. Maybe if they kept it to the first couple seasons, but it just happens again and again fitting I guess, given the plot of the show lol,, so it just comes off as super annoying and drawn out when it inevitably happens every episode.

Like someone a few pages back said, I'm just hate watching at this point lmao. I don't think the show is inherently bad or anything; but man, the characters are so f***ing annoying with each other

Bro yall have witnessed the impossible happening for 4 seasons, why tf are we still shutting down someone saying “hey this just happened”

In the new EP I can understand Julie is grieving and she feels her story walker thing didn’t work, but she still was able to story walk, she just didn’t go to the specific time that she wanted.

So for her to say “what mom?! That’s not real that you and Jade have been here before”…..huh?????

Sophia being at colony house when Boyd told everyone makes no sense. She was with Henry “drinking” and he arrived alone. Sure she could arrive after but for something like this you probably ask her at the very least do something pointless after you’ve been coddling her all season. Sara’s not present, does she spend all that time painting the room and sees her heading to colony house and go yup :koolaid: just have her arrive with Henry and have Kristi ask her about her arm
Tabitha writing has been terrible. Lashing out at Jade made sense, Victor doesn’t. It undoes all the focus on the character development of her and Ethan and the chemistry between her and Victor. Yes, the Matthew’s never recovered from Thomas death and now dealing with Jim’s but every other character has had their own s\*\*\* like you’re not having Kenny charging at Smiley after being taunted with his father’s not only because Boyd expressed survival this episode but because you’ve already had Kenny attempt something stupid dealing with his grief and coming to some terms with it! It makes sense for Henry to brush off Jade after being the guiding hand to him and Jim because his first thought to deal with his grief is drink but are you going to have him say this is all fake and Randall go “that’s what I’ve been saying”? F\*\*\* no
Julie being dejected makes sense, her writing everything off doesn’t. Yes, her attempts failed and yes, Randall has a point on his perspective but my guy before this you talked to Tabitha about how you heard not just the children but her and Victor in the tunnels. I get there’s a conflict within her and she’s young experiencing all this but she can dismiss it without being as extreme. The scene with Elgin is supposed to illustrate this but again you can still have that scene without undoing development scenes prior, in fact it would work better!

Love the “slow” episodes and the focus on the characters this season but the contradicting writing at points is baffling. Tabitha wasn’t created to be unlikable so much so she’s greatly traumatized just like Jade with his initial tech bro persona to mask his pain but the flip flopping writing is what makes the reaction be no what the f*** is wrong with you. Every season we get an episode about Ethan having to be brave. Is he storming off because he’s scared? After all that? Is it because he’s annoyed by Tabitha babying him again? Shouldn’t she pick up on it by now? You can’t tie it up this episode?? Julie hasn’t consistently been written as this teenager going through that phase since the first episodes of season 1. Last episode you didn’t have Jade recap then we get to Donna saying let’s go upstairs, cut to Boyd’s reaction to the news then have Tabitha recap anyways like what are we doing just have her say I remembered or go straight to Kenny.

10/10 my fav yet

don't like how they immediately jumped from last week's episode like nothing happened to the morning. Jim's daughter and angry dude weren't even in this episode

gf and i just started season 4 just whipping through this show, can be kind of silly at times but im such a sucker for a mystery box show that continues to pull back layers.

probably mentioned somewhere in this thread but a good drinking game is taking a drink every time Boyd stops himself mid sentence lol
