Anything that’s lighter in tone than season 2 is perfectly fine for me.

But the darker aspect of season 2 is what made it so unforgettable

I liked it for that isolated period of time but I don’t think the show needs to keep getting even darker going further. Season 1 wasn’t exactly sunshine and rainbows to begin with. The main character is homeless and the 2nd lead character shot a guy minutes into the 1st episode.
hope we get this season end of the year but most likely it happens early next year
season 2 spent 4 months in post so October/November 2021 is most likely

Didn’t they say they’re doing S3 and S4 back to back?
Yes, S3 & S4 were supposedly being filmed at the same time.

Damn, you wasn't feeling the dark tone?

It was fine for that one season but the upcoming seasons don’t need to be darker. Like I said earlier, Atlanta was never light show in the first place. Getting progressively darker would be overkill imo.

...or natural
It doesn't really need to be darker.
If anything Donald said it's gonna be like graduation. It's gonna loud and abrasive and big. Quite the opposite of dark and untethered.

Agreed
Really hoping they don’t have a main character killed by the police, I know that’s a theory fans have been having and tbh that’d really turn me off
